I thought that the D&D cartoon had been released on DVD, but all I find on eBay are pirates, same with some quick google searches.  Anyone know if they're legitimately available yet?

here is a link to the Internet Movie Database

http://amazon.imdb.com/title/tt0085011/

Is this the one that you are looking for? If so, it is listed in the Amazon.com DVD section.

The opposite is true, in fact — there has been no legitimate release here, although boootlegs are quite easy to find.

"Sometime in 2006" is the expected release date for the series.

wow...thanks for pointing that out. I just re-read the listing on Amazon and sure enough it says region 2 PAL format. I'm going to have to watch that a bit closer than I have been when ordering items...

That's what I get for assuming that they would only list the PAL formats on the Amazon UK site  :)

Thanks Xaxaxe:  I was thinking this would be a fun way to intro Ethan and his cousins to D&D (beyond my Mattel electronic maze game, of course).

No problem.

I'm sort of into the whole DVD things — region 1, anyway — and I can add that I've seen a couple of sources indicate that the studio is leaning toward a late fall release, timed for the holidays.

If you are looking for the UK edition, they can be bought cheap on Ebay.  I bought a set (4 discs sold separately) for $2 each and shipped to Canada for around $16 total.  However to play them, I needed to burn a copy and make them region free.

They are in Pal format but that isn't a problem for many DVD players or TVs and certainly is not a problem for computers.

My kids stumbled across the cartoon on one of the Disney Channels (we have four I think). They were totally engrossed in the show when I walked into the room.

It brought a smile to my face to see them watch something that I used to watch (though I did not really like it at the time) without me having to lead them into it.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!
