Nah, even though I think $500-600 max would be a fair enough value, that's prolly a bit low for me. :D

Cheers,

p.s. SW'd oB3 was the highest non-Tamo ($825).

Do I really need to answer this one?  I think everyone on this site knows the answer to this.

And for the records Yes I still have it.

I'll have a go, Improv.

$3650? Bottle City
$1800? Planes of Existance
No Regrets.

IO has been a stranger for a while. Anyone have any news?

Those prices were just a guess. David may be able to confirm.
I regret not pushing harder for Planes of Existance, but I probably would have lost anyhow. Revenant marked the start of my collecting and my introduction to Acaeum.

So, seeing as you're here, Mike... Maybe you could answer a few questions.

1. You were going to have the bottle city map framed. Did you? Can we have a piccie of the finished piece?
2. Did the developement of Planes of Existance ever go any further than discussion, or is that something that has now been shelved?
3. What were the notes Steve made on the playtest of City of the Revenant like?

Low $400s (~$425, IIRC) for a complete set of 1977 to 1979 Cosmic Encounter items from Eon Productions (base game, plus nine expansion sets).

Not at all. I'm a CE fiend.

Own it? I still sleep with Expansion #9*

I'm pretty sure that the IO's Lair threads have pics of Bottle City framed:  I'm sure I've seen pics, whether here or over at Dwarven Forge.

Are you thinking of this .....

The two glass incased documents are the tournament module "The Sunken City" by Robert Kuntz for Gen Con 8, and the original handwritten notes on the alignment system by Stephen Marsh.

I paid $205 for Avalon Hill's "The Journeys of St. Paul" back in the 90's. I still have it and while not thrilled with the purchase, don't really regret it either. The next highest would be around $150 for a first edition unpunched White Bear & Red Moon by Chaosium.

Once an item gets over $200 I start to think of other things I could do with that amount of money besides putting a box on my game collection shelf. Of course, the fact that I'll buy loads of $20 to $50 items and fill whole shelves kind of makes that logic fall apart when you total up the money I've spent.

Being a completist does not help either,

Rick

I'm not a Moneybags. I'm more in gyg's and MShipley's area. Most I spent on an item was $53 for a 1st ed City State of the Invincible Overlord. I sorta regret it because, even though it was a good price, it's not in great shape, and it's missing several maps. But at least I can say I own one. Second most I spent was $46 from Alan for an Inferno at his online store. No regrets there; it's a primo copy. I also overpaid for a 2nd edition Gamma World at $44, but I wanted to finish out my collection (had all the other 5 editions and 2nd was the last one left).

I still have everything I've collected. Haven't resold anything. That must be some sort of anomoly, judging from you lot. :D

I think the most I ever spent on one item was $330 for a copy of Space Gamer issue #1. No regrets at all.

I have a lot of $100-200 items, but none of the really expensive stuff.

The most I have ever BID on an item was $933 for an unpunched Gorgonstar Titan, wasn't quite enough though.

Regards

Mike

Any chance of a link or a bump to the IO thread. Can't seem to find it.
