I must admit I would have felt a bit guilty if my offer was accepted.

From a purely technical p.o.v., might've been better to have offered $200-250 then paid another $600-800 to sooth your conscience if they'd gone for that and you'd wished to do so.

I was considering that.  Fortunately I was saved from having to wrestle with  such a tricky moral issue.

Sure looks that way, doesn't it?

But then you only have three-quarters of the information on-hand (personally), no?

You are pretty sure this is a first huh?  Looking at the texture of the covers if I am guessing correctly.

Nah, I'm only 99% sure (like last time).

(well, maybe 98%...)

Well, some time soon someone else will tell me that they know what they're bidding on!

I'll stop bidding at that point, OK? ;)

Once it went over $300-400 there was no harm in waiting for the seller to reply... ^^

I wonder what the seller is thinking right now?  Was he really in the dark, is this a joke, is he thinking somebody is f**cking with him, or is he really flabergasted and planning a trip to a marathon is the desert

Considering what the other items she's sold recently have gone for, she's going to be in for one heck of a shock when she logs in next.

Anybody know if those dice are part of the original set?  They seem of the correct vintage...

51 posts on the DF thread.

(Although that's possibly heading more into a firefight over copyright issues... :?).

I happen to know that a friend of mine who doesn't visit the any of forums, sent an email to them with a link to the acaeum page that has the woodgrain info on it. I think he might have submitted BIN offers, but I don't know for sure. I rather doubt that they do anything now but provide info and ride the bidding out.

Well I would only have spotted it about now - after about 50 people would have bid and won it already.  8O
