Everytime I go online to ebay, I do a very thorough search, that is intended to find OD&D listings, even if things are badly mispelled or as in this case very low key.

I do too, that's what is bothering me.  (It seems I inadvertantly unchecked the "search in title and description" box in one of my searches.  Thanks for alerting me to this.)  I spend hours each and every day on eBay, but probably not as much as bclarkie.  However, I'm mortal, and require sleep.

I had the same problem.  It took me a good 15 minutes of looking and I was just about to give up, whenever I happened to take a quick look over on the DF at the same time and a member had posted a link. :)

YES!

*grumble* *grumple*

Looks like the cats out of the bag...  I suppose a wood grain for $1.99 would be too much to ask.

On the bright side, I can relax now that I don't have to worry about the auction being noticed.   :D

Sorry about that, I didn't realize that you were a member here, I just saw that the auction would be ending when I was at work, so I wanted everyone here to know about it.

Don't worry about it.  I'm surprised nobody noticed it sooner.

I am actually surprised you didn't try to negotiate a BIN on that.

I was in the process of doing just that.  The seller had finally responded to me, saying she was open to offers, a  few minutes before this thread was posted.

Maybe had better not ask what their response was, in that case.

In retrospect I handled it badly.  Rather than simply making an offer, I'd asked if the seller would consider a BIN.  She responded merely asking what I was offering.

I must admit I would have felt a bit guilty if my offer was accepted.

From a purely technical p.o.v., might've been better to have offered $200-250 then paid another $600-800 to sooth your conscience if they'd gone for that and you'd wished to do so.
