What a good question!

Thinking about it sensibly...

DM - Gary Gygax with Frank Menztner to help him.

Players:
JRR Tolkien
Albert Einstein
Stephen Hawking
Raymond E Feist
Arnold Schwarzenegger
Rev Lionel Fanthorpe
Ray, Tim and Darren (people I've actually played with)
and myself makes 10.

Good players need to be intelligent. [Yes, Arnie's got a lot upstairs too].
Chuck Norris might be the toughest guy in this Universe, but would he make a good role-player?

The problem is, if we all sat around the same table, I doubt very much we'd get much gaming done, but we'd have some pretty darned good discussions.

Scenario...gotta be something pretty special...hence the two DMs. We want some mega devious puzzles and some ultra role-playing too.
Oh, and it's to all be done in 1st Ed of course!

BJS

PS - Tea, coffee and beer to be provided by Pamela Anderson and Goldie Hawn :-)

PPS - Have to send the wife away somewhere nice for the weekend

Might be cool playing a game of Twilight: 2000, Recon, or Morrow Project with Chuck.  He would probably kill everything though.  :D

On that note here is a list of people (living or dead) I would like to play a specific game with:

Traveller - Neil Armstrong, Carl Sagan, Arthur C. Clarke, Orson S. Card.
Marvel Super Heroes - Stan Lee, Jack Kirby, Chris Claremont.
Gangbusters - Quentin Tarantino, Vinnie Jones, Robert De Niro, Al Pacino.
Rifts - Greg Bear, Gregory Benford, David Brin, Alan Dean Foster.
"Any" Wargame - Tom Clancy, George Patton, Douglas MacArthur.
Chill or COC - H.P. Lovecraft, Clive Barker, Stephen King.
Shadowrun - William Gibson, Bruce Sterling, Neal Stephenson.

D&D - Fritz Leiber, J.R.R. Tolkien, Michael Moorcock, Terry Brooks, Robert Jordan, David Eddings, and Raymond Fiest.

I wouldnt want to play any iteration of Star Wars or Star Trek with anyone like George Lucas, Gene Roddenberry, or any of the actors.  What would be the point?  George would just screw it up in the end and Gene would constantly bicker with Bill Shatner.

This list is just the people that came to mind when I thought of the specific game.  And for any of you that dont know who Vinnie Jones is...look it up.  :P

DM: The pre-Dark Tower Stephen King (back when he could really tell a story).

Illusionist: Joss Whedon
Fighter: Warduke
Barbarian: my ridiculous, overpowered, Great-Cleaving barbarian from Neverwinter Nights*
Cleric: Jesus (seriously, that's one hell of a cleric)
Thief: Bill Gates
Paladin: Steve Jobs
Magic-User: George Lucas in 1979, right when Empire wrapped (before he totally lost it, in other words)
Bard: Erol Otus
Whatever she wants to play: Lindsay Lohan

+++++

* whose name is ... Xaxaxe, of course

Well, I generally prefer the pre-model (Mean Girls, let's say). I can't really comment further, due to a rather harsh restraining order ...

Why do I have to keep stopping myself from mentally adding Terry Pratchett to that (interesting) list?!

Xax, great choice on Whedon.

can you just imagine telling him that something really bad has just happened to his PC?

he would prb grab you by the jewels and nut you one for good measure, while quietly murmuring in your ear (in a cockney dialect) "youre gonna roll them dice again my son"

:D

Hey Al,

surely the ideal Bard choice would be from just up the road from you, the Gallagher brothers. Can you think of any more likely candidates for a drunken bar room brawl? Of course it would delay the start of the game a bit.

Very true Al.  :D   When I was thinking about the list, I also though of Jason Statham but Vinnie is just so much more of a badass.  I actually think he might be able to hold his own against Chuck Norris.

errrrr in a word, no :)

see vinnie has to get hold of you to do the damage.

before chuck even gets in the room, you can feel the bad-ness. once he sets his eyes on you, you are dead, so really, there isnt even an issue here :D
