if you were organising a weekend gaming session and were one of the members, from anytime past or present, who would you have in the gaming group, why and what scenario would you choose for the group to play?

Hmm, might swop Martin Luther in for Gandhi, as the group is a bit low on fighting strength and he would be more of a kick ass Cleric.  Maybe Alexander of Macedon as a 2nd Fighter.

All the old crew. I have not gamed with them in way too many years. We are still in contact, but are now spread all over the country. It would be fun to "relive" some of the old days.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

For me it would be -

Me (Paladin)
Spartacus (Fighter)
Einstein (Magic User)
Bach (Bard)
Houdini (Illusionist)
Jesus Christ (Cleric -- if you need a cleric it's best to go big)

The scenerio would have to be either A1-A4 or T1-4

Me (DM)
Jaime Bergman (M-U, because I can)
Kevin Bacon (F, VERY nice guy, and he would bring weed)
My brother Mike (T, he was an incredible shoplifter as a youth)
Mother Teresa (C, for obvious reasons)
Dick Cheney (Ranger, archer type, because we all know he is a good shot)
George W. Bush (F, only during siege or invasion situations)
Alexandra Vandernoot (someone to sit on my lap and roll dice)
4 of the Patriots Cheerleaders (side by side, naked, on hands and knees so we would have a table)
William Hung (background music)

Looks pretty tight to me.

Uhm... No D&D. I'd like to be the master of a huge In Nomine Satanis campaign with all Popes alternating as players (devils, of course).

Alternatively, I'd fetch Lenin, Stalin, Polpot, Mao, Castro, Togliatti and Marx and make them play Paranoia.

If I were to choose (A)D&D, I'd probably choose good speakers. Homer (not Simpson... although that one would be a nice addition), Alighieri, Machiavelli (good strategist), Shakespeare, maybe Sun Tzu (good choice in a game where people have to fight). Julius Caesar might be a good group leader.

Chris Farley (Chaotic Good F/T/M-U, and good for bashing in doors or testing pit-fall traps);

Halle Berry (T, with a penchant for going naked because of the silence bonus);

Gilbert Gottfried (retainer);

me (assassin, and the first thing I'd do is off the retainer);

George Carlin (C; imagine the arguments over healing and reincarnation).

And the ultimate DM:  George Burns.  Imagine him explaining to you that the death of your character really doesn't matter in the larger scheme of things.

Adventure:  Tomb of Horrors

Let mirth prevail!

I'd settle for a couple of hours of old 8mm cine of Castle Greyhawk in full swing at Gary's pad in the 70's. Kinsa like a geeky version of The Wonder Years. I wonder what EGG's home movies would fetch on eBay if he's had the foresight or inclination to make them.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.
