Just an investor with lots of cash to spend? Nothing to worry 'bout.

e.g. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 6621536750

Damn I was close.  $1915.00 to someone I have never heard of before.

<edit> Actually I just bought some Dungeon Magazines from that guy a few weeks ago.

If the guy was not so paranoid about Paypal I would have outbid that by a few hundred.  Oh well, another time :(

I could have tossed in a bid for you Jeff, you should have let me know. :)

I thought about asking a few of you guys about that, but after e-mailing the guy back and forth a few times about payment I really got to wondering why he would not accept Paypal from out of country!  I just did not want to deal with him :? He was inflexible and paranoid!  I just decided to stay away.

Thanks for the offer Brian, I will take you up on it at a later date.

Jeff

I think you can do better, Jeff. Or else, perhaps give it a miss (seriously).
Not really worth forking out that sort of money for "nearly" items, IMO, compared with the prices from a year or two back. (Ask Mike <improv> and others...).

The books ain't worth much, that's for sure: I passed on a 2nd U&WA to Stephen almost that good for barely $20 on eBay; and picked up others, better, for ~$25.

How much d'you really want to pay for the nice top half of a box? :)

JM02c, anyhow...

I tend to agree with with you, for that kind of cash it should be in prime condition.  The sticker turned me off as well.

Well, there are a few Acaeum members who seem to disagree with you guys, pricewise.

No probs with them disagreeing, Frank. Or with going to look for other more interesting stuff round about that hitting $1k. :)

Oh, btw, sorry 'bout that severe bump on the KABAL. Pitched in relatively hard there as I still needed another item to ship over with the PotVQ for the second attempt...

Interestingly enough, I received a second chance offer today on this. Email came through EBay from an " S D".

Wonder what may have gone wrong (if anything at all).

I'll message the seller through the original listing, just to let them know and to see if legit, and post any response.

Probably a fake!  I get them all the time on big auctions!

IMO, examine the email header closely for discrepancies and ping the original seller.

I'm not on the receiving end of as many fraud attempts as Jeff (lucky him!), but it's an honor to be in that club!

Received reply from real sellers.

Any 2nd chance offers at this point are definite fakes.
