thx, Al!

Spotted the print immediately the auction went up (and not from the box 'evidence'), just before Steven 'spiked' the auction: see below, repeated from post last year, compared with the auction).

Question is whether the books are possibly a 'middle' release, rather than 'early'.

If there wasn't that research possibility or it was clear they were 'late' (U&WA variant, below, but that applies to the other books too in color/size, if not setting), I wouldn't have gone that far over the 'box value' - and still presuming no splits!

Sheesh, that was more $ than either the unpublished Kalibruhn supplement ms. or ERK... (*cough*)

Even with those possibilities, I think that's more likely one for the 'silliest price' thread.

Will be looking forward to this! :)

Aside: if anyone has been trying to do a deal privately with the seller for these, please drop it.

I had an o/s query with them because the shipping quote was way too low ($15!), did not receive a response and they tried to cancel the transaction as 'unwanted' after one working day.

They're now making up a story about having sent me the detailed photos (untrue-- and contrary to after auction end when they told me they'd never received my original eBay query) and telling me I emailed them to cancel the transaction (untrue, yet again).

Has been paid via PayPal, regardless of this crap, and looking forward to hearing back from them (no word yet)... :?

I trust your assessment of their chacter is correct,  Steven, and that there's just been a 'misunderstanding' in there, somewhere?
