Old box set - only two booklets.  Short term auction.  Could be quite interesting...

Lets get this thing start right. Only a two day auction though, he probably would do himself better for a longer time.

Aside, that seller has some other neat non-D&D stuff up now too. :)

He's not doing himself any favors with that "US Only" line, either.

Indeed.  Even though I have a US address and payment methods, I tend to avoid auctions with a US only clause because the sellers are usually more troublesome to deal with.

Well, bclarkie thinks he's gonna snipe me out again, like he did on that DogTags, but he won't.

Sorry Frank, I never expected to win that.   I set that snipe several days ago and forgot about it.

Unlike you, Steven, since you only needed the U&WA. ;)

(At least, that's what I hope you were looking for...).

Harumph. :/

I didn't even get online to snipe, tho I woulda.

But the reason was worthwhile...

Was on the phone with Tom Moldvay until just a minute ago.

Well, $400 in that direction anyhow, after losing out (again) on Tim's one.
Wear might be worse than expected and the inscriptions are... well... (about par for the course for my books, anyhow).
Seller never returned my email to say bidding was OK; but by chance, I just got back, signed-on and saw those Qs & As. Sorry...

I'm darned curious as to whether those are a 'middle' release of the 1st prints (as mentioned in passing from looking back through other scans), but if they're 'earlies', I'm not complaining.

=
Oh, and Mike <improv> has the same box with a 3rd print, btw (IIRC from browsing).
No comments that that came with supplements, was in darned fine condition and went for about the same price... underbidder yet again!
And he was nosing around here recently, too... ;)

Oh, Frank, you're a gem, btw. Just picked up an interesting package from the sorting office, in passing this morning. Will forward the enclosure. Many thanks, indeed. :D

And is that SELWG your's, btw?
Was only sent two weeks ago(!), by courier(!!) and I had to go pick it up in Aberdeen 'coz they missed me. :)

Thanks no, mine is just fine  :D

To my shame, I was just bidding to be greedy and have 1 and a bit

I found her emails fast and pleasant (plus pics) - I think she was nice cos I warned her of the potential value rather than trying to armtwist a buy-it-now.  The box really is split, and there is a fair amount of staple rust, but the good news is that some of the ref. sheets are present  :)   So, if you count a set of ref. sheets as a single 'part' and they are all there, then it is really a 0.75 set (not counting the box as a part) and an 0.8 set (counting the box).  Deja vu anyone?

All in all not bad at all.  Really hard to know what to bid on something like this though...
