Hi Mcduff, does that rubber figure happen to be one of those LJN toys produced by AD&D? I believe they had a rust monster like the one you described....

No it is not one of the LJN toys.  Remember those little bags of Dinosaurs you could buy at Toys-R-Us?  Well the rust monster came in one that was titled Prehistoric Monsters.  There were about 15 other fantastic creatures, the only other one I can remember is a hippo looking creature with four blunt horns on its nose.  I sold the whole lot at the Swap Meet in Hawaii in 1976 for $1 and spent years trying to find the Rust Monster again.  Finally a couple years ago I saw 2 in a bag of toys at a thrift store.  :D

This is SOOO easy for me, although it is non-TSR...  The Collectable Hygiene Game, from Semi-Precious Games.  It comes with a comb, soap, shampoo and a toothbrush.  The rules are awesome: constant humor about sweaty, smelly gamers (ah... I get antsy to game just reading this.)  Includes lines like:  "Jim goes to the restroom after playing BESM for 16 straight hours.  He sets up his Collectible Hygiene Game and collects bonus items.  He plays them in any order"  and  "Collectable Hygiene Game boosters can be bought at all Grocery, Drug, Convenience and Discount stores.  CHG boosters can almost always be found in restrooms free of charge!"  It is so weird, and I love it.  Josh

Here are some more unusual/neat/weird items:  Waldenbooks Al Qadim Promotional Cards:  Waldenbooks gave away some cards in a envelope as a promotion for al qadim. pretty cool I guess.  D&D Viewmaster 3-d Reels:  This item was made in 1983. If anyone still has one of those old viewmaster toys, you simply put the reels in and start clicking away. Has pictures from the D&D cartoon I believe. I haven't checked yet :-) Something cool.  Thats it for now.....

LOL Adam, you were gonna use those decorations for your b-day and invite all of the guys?? OMG! Imagine seeing guys like Scott being the dungeon master of ceremonies,Allan wearing a D&D b-day hat, Michael Deaton blowing the kazoo,  and Matthias drinking from 20 yr old D&D cups and looking like he had a "hangover" <---GET IT??. Brette is there drooling at the pictures of hot warrior babes out of the Tsr calendar he got for Adam as a gift, Mcduff trying to work out a cheap deal with Adam on the rpg presents we sent him, Mccarthy trying to swipe the D&D tablecloth for his collection,  and Doug and Len are singing happy b-day to Adam. Meanwhile, Adam is blowing out his candles and looking at his b-day decorations!! HAHA

I've seen the various coloring books and they look pretty neat. Even Aaron Leeder is seen bidding on them when they show up on ebay.  However, I'm not sure if many of you have seen, there are some coloring books that came shrinkwrapped with their very own D&D crayons  8O weird huh.
