I have seen the movie twice now. The first time to see it and the second because it was on cable and I was bored. I thought it was a little cheesey but I think that was the period it was made in more than anything else. I am not sure about the book. I have to say that I never really got that it was the games fault....just one messed up person.

Now you want to see a good example of game play on screen the final episode of Freaks & Geeks was really kinda cool. Really made me sort of sad as I was reminiscing about the good old days when my life was that carefree and the times I had with my old friends playing.

Doesn't mean it's not offensive!

Umm...I just assumed that was man and wife.

ALSO:   Go over to my post on the OT thread to read my scathing comments about Monkey DNA and English mathemagicians.

It's somewhat amusing.

I searched on the internet about it and found out it's about some gay kid who committed suicide, basically.  Dallas something or other.

Hey, some of us had to deal with the James Dallas Egbert incident.

But now we're all "stuff you find on the internet", I guess. :/

Hey Zippanthropus, what is your avatar? Map of...? (Sorry I've gotten bored with boxing up the RJK auction.)

Bottom right-hand corner of Greyhawk map. I hate handing the players a photocopy of a pre-made map, so I redraw them with extra coolness (more detail, etc...).

Well, that and EXTREMELY RARE COLLECTIBLE ITEMS!  ;)

I was reading the text of Watters v. TSR, Inc. earlier today - I wonder if there is a list somewhere of all the litigation that surrounded D&D back in the day.
