I have several PM's stuck in the outbox, some dating back to December. Is this because the user's Inbox is full?

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

Or because the recipient didn't read it. I get messages sent to my e-mail, and sometimes I forget to go and read the original in my inbox. That doesn't happen now because the popup reminds me.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . minestrone soup.

Aha. So until the recipient reads it, it stays in the outbox?

Actually, I don't agree with the way PMs are implemented, too.

mbassoc is correct -- if the recipient hasn't clicked on the message in his Inbox, the message will stay in your Outbox.  However, since the forum sends the text of all PMs via e-mail, you can be assured that your recipient did in fact read it.

The implementation of the PM system is hard-coded, and not something I'm able to change, unfortunately.

No complaints here, Foul. I was just curious!
