That's what I almost did at first when I saw this.

After 15 minutes the seller sent the correct invoice.

Isn't that Guerret from here?

Uhm, yes, of course, I am the Guerret from here, and on eBay too, and everywhere (except at work) someone knows me.

Common sense sort of lead me to that deduction. Was it a typo? I've seen quite a few of those on eBay.

Yes, I assume the seller wrote 7,95 instead of 7.95, and in these cases eBay ignores the comma, becoming 795. It happened to me once, when I placed a bid of 10,50 instead of 10.50 and eBay put a maximum bid of 1050 dollars. I was very quick to retreat the offer.

In fact on ebay.com the " , "doesn't work since on ebay.fr or ebay.it and everywhere in Europe the " . " doesn't work... The same thing has happened to me too, for a small $4565 bid  8O but it was 2s before the auction end and I was unable to change my bid... I gain the bid of course for $112 !!!    I will never bid again through ebay.com

For that particular problem, if you snipe manually, yes.

What do you mean by manually? Don't tell me there are even tools that do that for you.

Bidnip is good for when you can't be there.
But I still prefer to do it by hand when I can...  (so to speak)  :)

TBH, I make mistakes bidding manually ...
I don't even want to think about using an automatic bidder ...  8O

(I could beat every record in silly prices category  8) )

Uhm... that might be useful for those damn US auctions ending past 4 in the night (GMT +1) that at times make me get late at work, but in the end I think that bidding manually is preferrable. And funnier, of course.

Sniping is the best way I have found to protect myself from...myself.  I have been experimenting with what I call "bristling," but a good, logical snipe might be the best way for me on everything.
