Thanks for the update, Scott.

On content; aside from others & the above, could you please update the price of the House Copy "2nd" PotVQ to $803

(11/05; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8715900574 ) - although that auction also included other items of value (IMHO), and add in the bagged NM copy at $546

(12/05; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8742061104 ), if that's within the timeframe.

Brian also had a coverless digest copy at $98

(10/05; http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8710487662 ) - remind me please, was that genuinely unstapled, or not? ;)

Text for the http://www.acaeum.com/ddindexes/modpages/dmk.html page also still refers to "Second print" black folders on the "3rd"/"4th" prints.

Cheers, Scott :)

I haven't been keeping a summary list of items, since I thought recent sales would be ending up there by default (at least one other non-BIN'd black folder, too).

Not sure about how you might list the "House Copy". I was underbidder on that and threw an extra $100-150 at the auction because of the photos: Jeff might've been working on a similar basis.
Also (aside, to Paul/BTB(?)) "House Copy" was written on the cover sheet. Are such inscriptions an exception to the grading rules? (NM stated).

I think it is generally accepted that autographs  don't detract from condition (provided the autograph is from someone who has some sort of connection to the product.   :D )  Of course, individual collectors might place more or less value on an autographed item as befits their personal taste.

"House Copy"  isn't exactly the same as an autograph, but in this case, I think it is generally viewed that way.  So I'd be inclined to say that it doesn't affect condition as the seller is weewarriors himself and he is verifying its authenticity.

However, the D&D collecting community benefits from the fact that it is so tightly knit.  Even if a2jeff were to sell it in a few years, we would all remember he purchased it and be able to trace the words  "House Copy"  back to Weewarriors.

As collectors come and go and years pass, it may be that "new" collectors will not be familiar with this turn of events, nor will they have any sort of proof that this copy is the actual Wee Warriors house copy.  What is NM with an authentic  "House Copy"  written on it, may be FN with big, ugly letters on it in 20 years.

Something to think about . . .

More likely as NM in photocopied form, I'd've thought? :?
(And without the inscription).
