Thanks all.   Received it a few days after I made the payment.

I did not realize it was only up 9 minutes (how can you tell that?) but basically I woke up clicked on ebay and there it was.

It was not exactly what i would call mint as there are a few creases on the spine of the cover but they are visible in the pictures and were no suprise at least.

In any case its nice to have something that was never released to the public and banned because of racey sexual innuendos:

man holding steak to dog = penis!
statue of woman with robe = penis!
goblins poking woman = penis!
dragon with lance = penis!
man/woman diving to grab a torch = penis!
and last but nut least the 3 women in the chamber being stalked by the evil dude whos penis looks like a short sword!

"What can I get for $10?"

"Mint Rare and Shrinkwrapped-just pick that bar of soap up for us pls, we love you long time!"

The find of the year; maybe the last three years. Hell, maybe it's the best find ... [switching to announcer's voice] ... of all time!

Congrats.  :)    :!:  8O  :)

(Oh but it's on Amazon so it must be worth it!)

DEITIES AND DEMIGODS is not the original one no Elric

Even if it was a 1st printing why so much?  Pretty ordinary stuff.

Castles is not even complete.  These 3-D building sets TSR put out are kind of neat but once they are used they are somewhat valueless.

No need to really say much else about this auction, its says plenty enough on its own. This belongs in a category all by itself.

... I'll add that that it's not every day you see a 0-feedback guy with a 50-percent positive ratio. :)

Other than that, though, it does sort of speak for itself. That listing is a waste of valuable electrons.

I'd say it's a super rare listing in poor condition :!:

I note in his listing he says "This is a very very rare collection that cost me a whole lot to aquire, serious bidders only"

Perhaps he paid $1,500 for the remarkably rare collection up for offer. He should try Sothebys rather than Ebay

What was his listing fee?  Because he might as well have donated the money to a charity or flushed it down the toilet.

I think he's in the highest insertion-fee category, which is, IIRC, about $5. It's the final-value fees that will kill him if someone throws in a bid, even as a joke.

That Deities & Demigods book does weird things to people.  Anytime I list the 128 page book I get the Cthulhu question.  Doesn't seem to matter what I say in the ad.

My guess for this sorry lot is that someone thinks they are getting the D&D book with the Cthulhu mythos.  Oops.

8O Um...do you actually know people that are willing to pay $1500 for one with the Cthulhu mythos?  I just might be persuaded to sell.

Who said Dungeon magazines aren't valuable? Check out his bidding frenzy. Where will it all end?

I just a sold a few issues in the last few days - single issues in the 5-10 range and a single lot from around 20-50. They did extremely well. The #5 went for more than $20 which was a shock.

It seems Dungeons that are in great condition and in the 1-50 range do sell well as of late. The exception is issue #1. I tracked two of them this week and both sold for  $20 or less!

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

I wish...  I picked up two in VG condition at once at my local comic book store for $3 apiece about a year ago.  The store didn't know what they were, really, and couldn't understand why I wanted them, LOL (they carry some 3.x/d20, but really don't do used as a rule).  If I could sell them at $1,500 each, that would be what, a 49,999% profit, LOL.

On the other hand, I do remember a time when my FLGS was selling them for $300.  Maybe we're about to go into another period when these will be desirable.  If that's the case, one of mine is definitely out the door.
