Oh yes, very hard to complete set.  One ruby card was put in each pack at the time, this set probably cost a fortune to complete 8O

wow - though still not the most worthwhile use of $400!

(I've just looked in my 'games' folder that I have sitting next to me on the desk at work - Hoody Frickin' hoo - I have 411 & 421 - Rich beyond dreams of avarice!!)(I recently dragged out all of the FR/AQ ones from my sons 'lost shoebox of crap unwanted cards' and put them in card pockets to use as dividers - thinking about it this is sadder than buying $400 of these cards!!!) :D

I agree that there are better things to spend $400.00 on, the guy must have thousands of the regular set though.

I was just coming here to post this very same auction. I am not accusing anyone, but...no freaking way this lot should be at this price point. Mostly average modules with many in far from great condition.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Well, I thought it might be shilling, but I took the bids and rearranged them in chronological order (stupid that eBay doesn't have this function built-in), and everything points to a couple of enthusiastic people getting caught up in the bidding, nothing sinister.

The auction doesn't use the word Orange anywhere in it.  Maybe he just used a stock picture of the Orange version?  Or maybe he really didn't know what he had. Would be cool if it were true.  Find of the century!  :D

Loren Wiseman? That's a name from Traveller, right? And other gaming stuff, too, IIRC.

If so, there's not a chance he didn't know what was what. A guy like that, heavily into the gaming scene for many, many years (hell, making his living from gaming) would know the difference between orange and green B3s.

Does seem rather strange - The only item sold by this user (currently has a set of chessmen up as well).
It can't just be random that the only item chosen to be sold was a super-rare - with an odd BIN (too much for a green and waaaaay to little for an orange!).
Good on the buyer though - no time to ask a question - and if comes through as a green one - instant refund for misrepresented item (not as easy as that I know but nevertheless...)

i'd say it was well worth the chance anyway and in the end you could always send it back if it wasnt orange cos the picture aint the same.

*waits for frost to pipe in*
