Also Mike, you happen to be lucky.  You live an area where you have an opportunity to finds lots of things locally that most of us don't have the fortune to have.   Like me for instance, I live in RPG blackhole of the universe, I mean there is nothing, and I mean nothing here what-so-ever.

Ever been to Boise, ID?  I thought we had the distinction of living in the RPG blackhole of the universe.  I don't think early D&D products were ever distributed here.

Speaking of which, if anyone here has a nice copy of MFA for sale or trade, let me know.  Not at that price, though, of course... :D

Interestingly enough...guerret is (or was) a forum member and probably just wanted them badly enough to put in those bids.  Shrinkwrap makes people do things they normally wouldn't do.

OK, this is kinda strange:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Almost-Entire-MERP- ... dZViewItem

The auction description states that the BIN is for 37 books....BUT only if they are still available at the time???  Sounds like it could be a potential pain in the ass for whoever hits the BIN.  "Oh, sorry  but Dol Guldur, Lake-Town, and Umbar were already sold to another buyer."  That would frickin' piss me off to no end.

I don't know if Ebay allows this but regardless this looks like a desperate ploy by a seller that has consistently overpriced his store stock for over a year and wants to get rid of it.  Not sure what "best offer" the seller would accept but with that BIN he is expecting about $40 per book.  Not completely ridiculous if you figure that books 2-6 will potentially sell for around $100.  Eh...never mind...it is completely ridiculous.

MERP items are in a slump right now, so yes this is a ridiculous auction.  I'm pretty sure technically the auction is illegal under strict ebay standards.  I doubt they would take action unless you did do as above, buy the lot and then have the seller tell you sorry half the items aren't there.  But being as the items are still individually overpriced individually in his store, not a chance that would happen.

Ral Partha's AD&D Firbolg, with a minimum bid of 63.72 USD, from a seller in France:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Sure it's not supercommon, but it's not that sought-after, is it?  Who likes firbolgs as monsters, anyway? Was the french version made out of gold?

Renvhoek bought the MERP rape-lot! $25 per module! Hope he at least gets a reach-around.

With his number of sales, I am quite sure this seller has been discussed on this forum before.............

** expired/removed eBay auction **

I would not even bid on This module if it were just a penny with free shipping....... and he has dozens of crappy D&D items for sale all at 19.42 or higher........

It's a 1st print and what's close to mint condition, but I'd think the price would be closer to the starting bid and nowhere near the ridiculous BIN…    8O

Rpg_auctions asked....
Wow! That's in really sweet condition. Are you sure you want to let it go that cheap?

I'll let you know if I get a reply.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the hand in the photo remind you of our old friend Maxi  8O ?

A.k.a. Maxi-pad, Pad-face, etc…? Frank (DL) had a host of nicknames that had me rolling…
