I certainly wouldn't pay that much. Looks like a bidding war between two bidders...although their feedback is not that low. Maybe it hasn't been offered in a while in unpunched condition? The seller has nice photos as well. The same seller has a few others up....Remember the Alamo is currently at $49.

I like the cover art of these mini-games - the classic TSR artists: Otus (Vampyre), Dee (Attack Force/Antares), Holloway (Alamo/Viking Gods), Willingham (SAGA). Correct me if I am wrong on any of those. I can't tell who did Pleasantville or Icebergs (a Tom Wham game, by the way). I bought an unused, NM Vampyre about 5 years ago...for about $10-15 IIRC. The others seemed to go for about the same but I never got around to buying any of them.

All the mini-games usually go in the $10-20 range - even if unpunched.  That Viking Gods price of $89 is absurd.

The minigames go through surges and dead spots just like other categories, but $89 for a single game seems high, especially one that had a wide distribution from the industry's leading company.

I've seen $90 minigames sales before, but those (and they are not at all common) have been for things like unpunched copies of the first edition of Metagaming's Chitin I, a game that had spotty distribution and was almost always punched and played.

This seems like a pretty obvious bidding war (and I hope neither bidder is a shill). Frankly, this sort of thing is one reason I never use a BIN price.

I think over $20 a set is definitely high.  Here is an auction from a while back that I thought did fairly well.

6 of them for $56.

Since I always use a BIN, I think that is why I very, very seldom get ridiculous prices (or I'm just unlucky  :D ) .  However, once your sales volume gets up there, then I think you make out a little better with selling 30 BINS, vs. one "out-of-hand" auction.

Dude's up in Rochester, NY.  BeyondTB, can you go smack him with a Nick Tahou's Garbage Plate or a Gitsis White Hot?

Assuming either of those places are still in business.... It's been a few years since I lived there.

Well THAT went over like a turd in a punchbowl!

Wow!  Someone familiar with the local cuisine.  The local cuisine being either Italian sub & pizza shops or greasy burger & hot dog joints that specialize is slopping a couple of burgers on a plate of home fries and mac salad and slathering the entire mess with hot sauce (Rochester Hot Sauce being a greasy ground beef chili-like concoction).

Anyway, they're still around.  You can't get rid of Nick Tahou's (or Schaller's, Bill Gray's and Tom Wahl's).

Ah . . . I feel a warm, loving tightening in my arteries just thinking about it . . .

Did I mention the White Hots?  Another contribution to fine dining!

Since we are talking about the TSR minigames I was wondering how  much these items in particualr might go for if not hidden with another game...

The first appear appear to be complete but punched.

Of the eight TSR minigames, none of the three the seller has pictured is considered particularly rare (They've Invaded, in fact, is somewhat ubiquitous). And two of the three are described as punched, so I'm not sure the seller is looking at a real bonanza here ...

Of course, as with all things eBay, YMMV. Now that I'm on the record, it'll probably go for $80 or something like that. :)

I know this seems a bit rare but WTF!! (as it happens I need this but I draw the line at over £150 for a very average supplement that I downloaded for free from the WOTC site)

Edit:

I swear this was $15 when I posted it...now it's $10. Still a $11 too high.

Well, at least the seller admitted the cover was worn!

I guess that is what happens when you get a trio of motivated 0-4 feedback bidders on an item that was fairly pricey to begin with

Nice!

Yeah, that trumps the (presumed?) 5th OD&D, plus odds-and-sods, just ended.

Nice, perhaps, but $315 and reserve not met? :D
