Extremely optimistic considering these items are still available at a lower COVER price.   8O

Notes to myself:  Next time check to see who the buyer is, and if he is an Acaeum member before posting.

I guess that it is worth that much.   8O

FWIW, I thought that was a bit high. Not exceptionally high, but defintely on the higher end of what it could have gone for.

Agreed.  I had to make sure Jeff didn't get it, though.

The starting bid is plausible at $200 but the BIN is totally outlandish at $2000...

I know Frank Mentzer stands up for T&T being a good guy but at this point I think he definitely belongs on the shady dealers thread.

How many times has he been told this image is stolen from another website and they continue to use it and claim a copyright on it nonetheless.

I just sent TrollandToad an email letting them know that they are still stealing someone else's image and that they violate their own statement at the bottom of the auction:

"inhouse images and inhouse photos © and â„¢ Webbed Sphere Inc"

Their response:

"Hi: Please reread the auction text. It says inhouse images are copyright by us. It doesn't say that the image portrayed is either our inhouse image or copyrighted. Jon"

Great job guys!  I guess they feel it is okay to steal other peoples images as long as they don't take credit for them.

Yeah, it was probably renhovek who bought it to.

BTW, did any one catch the shipping cost to the UK on that auction? How about $54.00

He removed the listing because I showed him where the image was taken from.  Hopefully it will get fixed this time.

BTW, the shipping to Canada was $54 as well.

Hmm, looks quite similar to this one:

http://home.flash.net/~brenfrow/rp/rp-r2.htm

I am sure Adrian would be quite happy to know that they are ripping his pictures off and claiming them as thier own.     You would think that if they had the nuts to actually list that R2 for $840 then the least could do is take thier own f**king picture of it. The sad part is that I have dealt with them once myself(off Ebay for the Warriors of Mars) and everything went off without a hitch.  That being said IMO they are a half step up from the Cougars and Creeps of the world...

After I laid into him a bit for relisting an auction that we previously pointed out to him had a stolen image, I also went through the rarer catagories in their store and pointed out 4 more pictures taken from the Acaeum.

He seems like he would like to get the problem fixed but ... we'll see if he changes the ones I pointed out.
