You must have just missed it.  The original BIN was $799.  The seller has since corrected it.

I e-mailed the $799 seller and jokingly asked if they were offering an ounce of gold along with it. She wrote back and thanked me.

LOL! I contacted the same seller, telling them their price was way out of reach. Had a few friendly emails back and forth. Pretty funny that other folks noticed the same thing, although not surprising in retrospect.

Will the stupidity ever end?  Not only does the seller have only 1 feedback but the shipping is $10 and the book isnt even in perfect condition.  Not to even mention the ludicrous BIN and starting price.

That's a fairly normal price (starting bid) for these in good condition.  This is one of the most consistently overpriced items.

Is there an idiotic seller thread then?  Wasnt so much just the price that I was gawking at but the whole picture: price + newb + shipping + retarded BIN.  :?

If anyone picks it up for that BIN I will shit a canoe...with the paddles.

Huh.  We have a "shady dealer" thread, but no "idiotic seller" thread.  Go figure.  Feel free to make one, I'm sure I can add a few posts.

Please don't.   :?

We are already a sarcastic and critical enough bunch.  Far better to help new sellers learn the ropes than to ridicule them.   :)

Pretty sure that's just good ol' fashioned "newbie fishing".   :)

Intelligator has an account on here, I think.  Maybe he'll comment.

I was thinking something similar myself.  I have bought from Intelligator before and was happy with the prices for the most part.  But there are a few things in his store that I think are a little on the high side.  No different than most resellers though.  Heck, every so ofter even some of Badmike's prices have raised an eyebrow.

I was watching the same seller's FASA Battlestar Galactica a couple of days ago and got to thinking I might put a token bid in on the Escape from New York as there were no bidders at the time.  That would have been pointless.

Check out Intelligator's completed items though.  Certainly no shortage of buyers and his feedback is pretty good.  Maybe his prices are just about right?  He's definitely making a tidy profit on his BINs.

I thought that name sounded familiar, and sure enough, I bought from him about 10 weeks ago ... a bunch of stuff, too. Here's one:

The price was right, the shipping was fine, and he seemed friendly enough to me. FWIW.
