Maybe I'm just having a dumb moment, but I have no idea what you're on about here.  Please explain.
(I checked the math, it's fine.  In fact, 35+16 = 51, the current auction price.  Coincidentally, 2006 + 1971 = 3977, the year Fiend Folio will become rare.)

Prices for those three books will never go up, as there is no significant demand compared to the vast number of available copies.  You'd have to be burning them constantly.  The exception to the rule would be specific (rare) printings.

My point is that a gamer who was 16 in 1986...and thus would have been a junior high gamer through the latter part of the Golden Age....would be 35 this year.   Now, with money and stability and a mid-life perspective, these gamers will be coming back to the game as collectors.

For the immediate future, the prices will go up as these gamers turn into collectors and compete with each other for what we would regard as silly prices.

The prices have gone up noticeably since I started only a year ago.

Good observation.

However it still is true in the context of the year and age discussion.

Zohwar sent me a free copy of this book just a month or so ago.  Maybe I should contact the loser with a second chance offer.
