What am I missing about this, and the sellers other auctions (DMG at £36 - legends and lore at £16)?

You can never have too much of something you didn't need in the first place.

Yes they are - if my earlier foray into the loft is anything to go by, it would seem I have them all! (Do AD&D hard backs breed? I'm sure I never brought all them!!)

Not too bad Pre-used condition, initials inside front cover. A little damage to the cover.

What does he mean by "Pre-used?"

If this is "Pre-used" what does "Used" mean?

Used for toilet paper?

Used to blow a bloody nose?

Used?

I think he used the word pre-used because ebay don't like you using the word 'fucked'. (If he had been reading these forums for a while he may have used the word 'rogered'!)

I didn't think ebay/paypal allowed you to limit the type of paypal payment that could be made. So what is he asking in greenbacks> $2500? Good thing it is used, no one could possible afford it if it were shrinkwrapped.

Well, I read that as possibly one page shy and written on but, despite the friendliness of the seller, never managed to get a /direct/ answer on either of those questions.

Some auctions ya certainly don't mind losing! :)

The sheer ridiculousness of that final price just blows me away.  And I am not surprised at all that TFM was the second highest bidder yet still managed to outbid the third highest bidder by about $1500.    I've always enjoyed poking fun at some of the crazy ass bids he throws at stuff but that is just beyond retarded.  :?

I am sure the seller is elated though.

Yeh, kudos to the seller!  Funny thing is the seller probably is very happy, and thinking "Man, the other stuff must be worth a bunch also!" without knowing they won't have another auction in the same galaxy of this one unless they have a ST1 stashed away....!

And I'm still in shock TFM somehow lost one!!! 8O

That's because Cary144 is a bad mutha humpa. He's got the deepest pockets of any collector I've seen on eBay. He's the guy who paid $3000 for the orange B3, remember?? His pockets roll deep!!!

Started the auction at 19.99, probably had no idea what they were auctioning off.   Too bad the seller didn't put it up as BIN...
