Seems about right, IMHO, although even closer to $400 wouldn't have surprised me either. The information sheet might've helped a bit more but was possibly a bit too tatty?
Good to see an honestly used copy which can actually be opened and read without too much caution.

The previous sale was bumped $650 right at the end and was arguably at least that much over (looked good from the outside, but broken text block and non-period personal dedication).

Missing maps with hand drawn replacements!? Did you expect it to go any higher?

Good to hear feedback.  I am happy with what I got but interesting to think that maybe I could have done better.  I didn't want to mislead anybody.  It was used.  It was a favorite of mine to DM when I was introducing people to the game (like at Thanksgiving gatherings)  I must have (at the time) thought it was easier take out the player map and let the adventurers hold it and use it. Somewhere along the line I didn't get it back.  Being my first time on ebay I didn't see anything about "US sale only" or click here for international sales.  I am sure it was there but I jumped without reading close enough.  The thread that started with my ejaculated post was a lot of fun I was sorry I asked to have it removed the lost scene for Samdolf the Purple in "Lord of the Rings" was hilarious. as well as exchanging barbs with Deadlord39.
Thanks for being here guys.  Next time I will seek help first.

Be well, do good work and keep in touch.

Either the seller can't read, is completely deluded, or smoked a huge crack rock before posting this auction:

(+ possibly worth a nudge non-TSR side for $113 for John Carter:Warlord of Mars, Warriors of the Dark Star (rare, but has sold before at less) going for more than four times a mint Embattled Trek, or $71 for a late print Thracia (CSWE now up), but some better prices, too)

I remember getting my first R-1 back in 2002 for a $5 BIN. $407 is just stupid.

I can only hope the insanity continues through Gencon....In that case I'm definitely bringing mine to sell.  Don't laugh but there's a better than 50% chance these are going into my ebay store next month at prices approaching armed robbery, how can I turn down gas money to Gencon....

$291 for D&DG and it's in shit condition. These things come up every 15 minutes on ebay, why do people throw so much money at them?

Auction description says it was bound upside down. Perhaps that's the reason it went so high? Other than that, I got nothing for ya.

Is there an upside-down Buffalo in that, too? :)

After seven years of collecting, the only items missing from my 'common' basic set is X11 and X13.

mdr003 who is a member here just listed these in Australia, and I thought to myself "I'll pull out all stops here, and bid $45." They seem to average about US$40 in the US, so that is a reasonable bid, or so I thought!

Final price for X11  $125!!!!!!!!! 8O  8O  8O
