Not a long time ago on ebay.fr...

It is a very very high price for this stuff. One of the last I saw was bought by le_rahib for around 60€ and he paid very very more than current price for this item, but he really wanted it and it was a mint copy too. Degassy seems to be like him :)

Mine was not shrinkwrapped.
But anyway, I can not imagine how high was the maximum bid on these boxes.

My French is a bit rough, but did you just ask him to dress up like Warduke and beat you with his little plastic sword?

A French duel? How do you figure out who surrenders first?

:D

I was very happy to have already mine when I saw you were bidding on that foreign stuff !
That first edition (Otus illustration and Face Logo) is very rare, even in France. And I can't imagine a shrinkwrapped one !

Nice win, I could not resist !

Okay, you guys need to step aside here ... I took high school French, so I'll do the translating:

"Lokiwookie, my good friend, let us fly to the U.S. this summer and use our strong Euros to buy up all of the items owned by our American pig-dog Acaeum brothers. Then we will fly home (first class) with suitcases stuffed full of woodgrains and R series modules. Call me if this will work for you."

Not bad, huh? Who says 12 years of public schooling doesn't provide a good education?

X, your comprehension of french is absolutely remarkable. You can understand french between the lines !
Strong Euros makes thing easier when we bid, but I would say that USPS is now very expensive. So a trip to the US to strip of all our Acaeum fellows is a good idea :D
Strong Euros is good for me, unfortunately, I don't have as much as I want ...

But, I can tell you, if I can't buy all those Woodgrains, I will gather as much White Plume Mountains as possible !

Shilled?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

One bad (sure just one) thing I've noticed with eBay is that you can see if someone has bid twice in a row on an item. Essentially upping their bid. This leaves that users more susceptible to shilling since the shill now knows that the user upped their bid. Two bids in a row should show up as one bid until the auction is done.
