If the guy had worn latex when he was rogering the thing it wouldn't be in such sad shape.

When will this madness stop

http://cgi.ebay.com/Deities-Demigods-Du ... dZViewItem

Deities & Demigods Dungeons & Dragons Book w/ Cthulhu at $99.00 8O

Blatent lies in the description though:

"This is a first print limited edition collectors book.  It does contain the Cthulhu Mythos and Melnibonean Mythos that are unique to first print run of this book.  Only some 500 were ever printed with this unique material in 1980, few of which survive to this day in such prestine condition."

Along with the obligatory 2 feedback bidder going apeshit at the "collectible".  Sheesh. I take back calling these "collectors" idiots...they are actually borderline retarded.

Huh?  Or you could buy it NM for $10 from Noble Knight.

Hell, I didn't even know those were there...nice spot Mars!

Years ago I bought a bunch of Tekumel stuff off Noble Knight and put it up on ebay for twice the price, sold it immediately.  When I went back Noble Knight had more.....so I rinsed and repeated, a few times, until he ran out.  I really don't think people give a look to the online dealers like they should sometimes, I know I forget about them.

Part of my "huh?" is that I remember we have talked about these particular calendars a few times here - but that might be before Doug showed up.

For SEVEN magazines!  If you check out his other auctions, he is charging pretty ridiculous rates almost across the board.

That what happens when you don't have time to look around...

I just happened across the item, said to myself.. I never seen one, I hope all the pictures are actually early dragon covers like the front... it's NM .. what is it worth ? I dropped $105.00 on it and left it .. no time to follow it and no time to research... figured if it wasn't worth much, I had it in the bag, and if it was worth more, I'd soon find out.

Expensive lesson, but that's life

I reported the $50 shipping idiot, though I debated not doing it. At this point, I'm not sure I mind seeing people scam eBay with shipping fees.

I know your game you evil fiend. You destroyed my chances of buying that calendar for $104.99!

NobleKnight items usually show up on a Google search [which works better than NK's own search function]. While some items there are overpriced, many bargains are to be found.

He's since added a note saying that the posted shipping is incorrect.

Well, I am sure that I have overpaid for items myself once in a while, but IMHO the answer to your question is yes.
