If that's even a legitimate result; see the shilling note above.

I'm just surprised TFM didn't swoop in for the win [inset rolly-eyed thingie right here].

The astounding consideration is that there are TWO people in this world who are willing to pay $780 for the book, not just one!

Go one page back on this thread.  It is Bill Owen's personal MM....but that still doesnt explain the sheer insanity of that end price.  Smells fishy to me.  Might be interesting to learn who the second place bidder is.

Even the question from a "potential buyer" sounds fishy. :?

Right, but as I stated before, no matter whose name is on the inside cover, the book is simply not worth the final bid amount. Not by far.

I could see it getting something in the line of $150-200 Perhaps........
most of that being due to the aforementioned name recognition, but almost 800 is simply ridiculous.

But (if the sale is legitimate) congratulations to the seller.

Stupidest thing I've ever seen. But, hey, that $65 for shipping is a bargain ...

On a more positive note: AuctionSieve! Woot! Best piece of shareware EV-AR!

That is astonishing!  8O

Who wants a woody when you buy one of these!!!!

For those not ready to cough up $10,000, there's a similar one for

$1,500

Here are a couple of LJN figures - alas no box - that reduced the price to a mere $10

I think erotic-art-story deserves a special place in the silliest auction prices Hall of Fame. :D

For $10,000 they could at least pay for the shipping which at $65 for Priority Mail is a little excessive.
