It has been listed at least three times, but it is not worth the $1.00 that the bidder won it for.

I would say that the item looks like it has been dog rogered, but that would be an overly kind description... perhaps an entire dog pack?

Jason hehehe :)

i sell these all the time on and off e-bay. nice little item imo. i must have sold about 30 since january, all for between £1.00 and £1.99. they are all shrinkwrapped, so you can add them to your valuation sheets :)

I have a copy of Shit on a Stick. Do you need specs from it? IIRC, it wasn't overly exciting.

If you hit a Rowsdower, you get to keep it.

I guess as a module it goes well with 'Glory Hole Dwarven Mine' but perhaps they should have called 'Stick up a Rat's....'

I just offered $5 for them. Of course, I wouldn't even pay that much, but it might give them an idea of how stupid they are.

Considering that this is at least the second time its been listed for that stupid price, its not likely...

First of all the scan sucks, but regardless $300??  The sellers comments about what he bought it for aside, the highest I have ever seen a 1st print go for on Ebay is $148 and that one was in great condition too (and yes I actually track this stuff too  :) ).

Like I said, a fleeting second.  It looked nicer than mine but a terrible scan indeed.

I find it strange that some posters will grumble (and genuinely seem irritated) over how an item will sell for "too high" a price, while eagerly hoping that another can be had for "cheap" (being equally irritated when some other poster has "outed" an eBay item they have their sights set on) -- as if there is such a thing as "too high" or "cheap" when it comes to collecting an item.

Now the hobby and game store owners, that's another matter. They're in business so they naturally hope to buy low and sell high. They live and die by price.

But collectors -- it just seems both an odd and, frankly, an adolescent mentality.

I think that it is easy to misinterpret the mood on boards such as these.  For example, if you look back over the last few pages on this thread, one doesn't see "irritation", but loads of regular smilies, a few winks, some laugh out louds and a few evil grins.  There is a mature* slightly dry humour that pops up a lot here.  Where there (on rare occasions) is grumbling it is drawn perhaps from a personal experience - where when starting out as a collector, you buy something for $xxxxxx and then discover, to your chagrin, that you can buy it for only $xx  :D  So, obviously you don't want to see others who are starting out, make the same mistakes.  :D

* yes, by mature, I am thinking - like an old bit of cheese

Personally, I could give a rat's gluteus if someone decides to overpay for an item. It's their money. Who am I to tell them they are idiots? $300 for a 1st print MM? Sure, it's idiotic, considering the fact that they pop up fairly regularly, but if he wants to spend the money, and it makes him happy, who cares?
