The starting bid is not that favorable, either.

guerret,

I agree with you on the first bid.  $50 is what they have routinely been going for.  I got mine for $27 and considered it a bargin.

Has - or had since they are about to expire - several other very common modules going high. B1 brown is at $11.

And I could've bought these damn modules off the 1$ rack!!!

Still 3 days left in this one and it already qualifies for this thread:

I am happy that seeyouinescrow is going to get a pretty good chunk of change from this one but damn some of these bidders are just plain impatient.  Gotta have it now!!!  8O  I did a piss-poor search and found no less than 8 white boxes up at the moment (not counting the one for $99 in Badmike's store).

I'm happy for the seller.  So happy, I might offer my copy to the losing bidder.  Talk about win-win.

No kidding!....I was thrilled when it reached $150!...Then check back later, and the things doubled??!!....The high bidder is reputable and has bought from me before, so I feel pretty good about it. Although the books are nearly unused, the box is only average, and the set is musty overall, so it's by no means pristine...but even if it were, I still wouldn't expect to approach $300. Just can't figure it out :?:  I don't know if it's just me, but it does seem that prices for all items in general are on the rise, and the supply doesn't seen to be what it was a few months ago. Anybody else see this as well?

I thought you were the supply!

I've noticed the 'warming' trend as well, but it's too early for a long-range forecast...I'm beginning to suspect a seller's market is on the way.

It seems to me like mixed trend.  The flagship rares are certainly climing in price but the common items seem to be falling.   I've managed to pick up quite a bit of stuff lately for a lot less than I would have had to have spent in the post Christmas period.

As there is more awarness about collectable D&D items this spread will grow.  There was alot of the common printed and still in the basements and garages of the owners!  The rare stuff will only get more rare and difficult to find as the colectors gobble them up!

You are certainly seeing more of those ebay brick and mortar stores selling large collections. Most of it is common stuff, too.

Guys, we're in Canada.  Have you seen the exchange rate lately?  Buy like mad!  Blackmoor, you saved quite a bit on that woody.

I was thinking about that when Blackmoor won the Woody too.    About 3 or 4 years ago, I remember going to the post office to get a money order and paying $1.65 CAD for each US dollar.  Now I think the rate is $1.15 CAD for $1 US.  That's a savings of 50 cents CAD/US dollar.  For the $4100 US woody that's a savings of over $2000 CAD.  WOW!

Yeah, the other day when I was in the post office sending a package to Canada, I asked the guy if I could pay in Canadian dollars.  Needless to say, he was unamused.
