What the hell?  :?

** expired/removed eBay auction **

It is also kind of interesting to note this statement in the description:

will not sell to anyone whom has not given me feedback from a prior purchase, no matter how long ago, or whom has a history of late payments.

I guess he holds a bit of a grudge.

Heh.  I somehow have difficulty resolving this comment from his disclaimer:
This means there may be some wear, or smudges, but nothing extreme.

with this part of the auction description:
the first volume fell apart, but all the pages (loose) are in the box

Having the item "fall apart" so it's essentially just a collection of looseleaf isn't "extreme"?

OK now...this is very wrong. Don't these people ever do a search for another set? I just don't get it.

Anybody else notice this bit of wackiness?

http://cgi.ebay.com/SAGA-Age-Of-Heroes- ... dZViewItem

Either the seller really loves the mini-game Saga, or he simply has way too much time on his hands with nothing better to do.  Either way someone should be thrown in a padded room if they were to pay $400 for it.  PDT_Armataz_01_11

I certainly don't understand it but I won't complain either.  It helps to offset some underperforming auctions.

Uhhh...WOW

It is probably the coolest of the minigames (next to Vampyre).  And it would have made a great full sized game.

You know, if I had money to just throw away, I'd probably buy it, because it's unique.  I bet the guy had to pay a ton to get it made, so he just had them make a couple thinking he could sell one to offset the cost. And from reading the description, it's apparent he just LOVES the Saga mini game.....!

Truth be told, I've been looking for that particular minigame for years. If anybody comes across one, I'll pay some good $$$ for it...

But not $400. And I want the original - not someone's homebrew vision for what the game "could" be.

:)

All of that work ... for Saga?

Well, there's no accounting for what games make certain people tick, but ... Saga? I consider myself a pretty hard-core microgame collector (hell, I used to publish a microgames newsletter, for crying out loud), and Saga wouldn't be in my top-10 list.

Now, a super-sized Creature That Ate Sheboygan? I'd sign up for that.   :)

I'm with you...and with the new minis for Axis and Allies....along with a few "altered" D&D minis....you'd have ready made game pieces.  Sign me up for a copy!!!

That's the same buyer that won all of the last round of The Collectors Trove auctions for the Eric Shook collection.
