Maybe the Wintercon module was worth 90% of the price?

On Mar-26-07 at 16:16:22 PDT, seller added the following information:
This item does not have the Wintercon Tournement Module it is a misprint.
Only World of Grayhawk

Castles is not even complete.  These 3-D building sets TSR put out are kind of neat but once they are used they are somewhat valueless.

Complete sets have sold for upwards of $70 recently. Granted the pics a little off though. I figured someone overseas might need it. Besides, I haven't seen them listed very often.

I have a really strong candidate for 2007. When I received the final notice about this auction, I couldn't believe my eyes...

8O  Seems more like a bidding 'pride' war than a reflection of the true value of the item!  :)

Perhaps you should write underneath your auction: "Notice to bidders: just remember, you are the greatest, don't let any loser outbid you, otherwise you'll be a big loser yourself."

Here is an X13 for just UNDER $50.00 with only 7 hours to go 8O  Maybe we might get lucky and win it for less than $60.00 w/ S&H

"Okay, we turn the corner and see a Purple 'WHAT' !?!" . . (the DM rolls a 20 or so he says) . . It all went black right after that.

That's a nice idea, but perhaps they could feel being insulted and so they could not bid  :P  Anyay, I'm sure this price puts to shame most of the items listed in this thread

OK...I was ready to post this one when it was at only $500...but this is completely out of hand! I know it's a good size lot, but I don't see anything here that begins to justify this price...plus with shipping over $100, the total cost is over $1000!!?? Geesh.... 8O

I tried to do a quick calculation based on what I sell these items in my store.  Assuming there are no major problems and pretty much everything is in tip top shape I couldn't even get over $800.  Maybe there is something in there we don't know about like the miniatures.  If you look at the 1st photo you can just make out 3 boxes of miniatures and if I didn't know better the bottom 2 minis boxes are Heritage miniatures.  That could bump up the lot by some.  Still, as described and what the pictures show I would not bid even $300 for this lot for re-sell purposes.  Wow is right 8O

Only 3 bidders. I'm pretty sure who number 3 is. Number 1 and 2 have fairly low feedback, so maybe a newbie bidding war??

Aboput 100 items right?  That is a little high.  Then again I've seen collections like this go for more and more lately, people aren't bashful about spending $9-$10 an item where they used to stop at $5-$6 an item.

Technically this isn't an auction, but I'm just amazed that he's even offering this for sale at all

Don't forget to insure it so it doesn't get damaged in shipping :)

I know this item commands a good price...often over $100, but to have 3 bidders over $200?? Yikes! And it looks fairly well used to boot!
