Looks like the guy shrinkwraps the stuff before he sells it. Do fall into the trap of thinking you're buying something new.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Maybe buy this one for the books and the other one with the nicer box for the box....keep the best of both and sell the other.

It's hard to trust a zero with that handle.  Hung-out since 03' & first sale is this.

Probably not Gro . . . here is snorkoc's current bid list:

http://cgi6.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?V ... =0&rows=25

Seems like a newbie who just discovered ebay.  Of course, you should be concerned about him constantly bidding you up in a fever of ebay excitement!   :D

But . . .

If . . .

You . . .

Would . . .

Give In . . .

and  . . . snipe . . .

. . .  It might help the situation.  :D

LOL, too true Paul.  Perhaps I'll try nev's auctionsieve sometime (is it good?).

Beyondthebreach wrote:(Hint:  snorkoc only bids in even dollar amounts - usually ending on the $5 or $10 increment.  I'd be willing to wager his max is either $45 or $50.  Just bid the minimum one time and if his max is $45, it will register at the high bid.  If it is $50, it will go up to $45.45.  Then set your snipe for either $50.01 or $46.00.)

Got too rich for me, for just a big GW lot :D

Seller with all five basic box sets. All appear to be in pretty good shape with a $9.95 opening bid....

An iSoldIt auction with all 4 sets of Geomorphs and it looks like the Outdoor are in the SW. There are other items included as well...

EDITED: As pointed out below I guess loosely covered by the shrinkwrap would better describe it....but still technically in the SW

** expired/removed eBay auction **

Same seller also has a first print MM in good shape except for some staining at the top of the pages.

In shrink?

At least that's not as bad as the seller I found who slit open an OCE's shrink to ensure the contents were in good condition, before putting it up on eBay for a friend.
(Some friend...).

Seems to be a good way to guarantee the SW is genuine, anyhow!

Yeah, I missed the Moster Manual (sic). ;)

Seller has a fair number of items still in the shrinkwrap. And these do appear to still have the SW intact...

The guy has a shrinkwrap machine. $20 from K-mart.

I could sell you anything in my shop 'sealed in shrink' for an extra $10.

I don't want to pollute the thread with a huge discussion on this but the seller states original packaging in the item descriptions. Have you dealt with them in the past to determine that he rewraps items? I could see nothing about that in the 2 negative feedback they have. I would hope that someone would neg them for that if it were the case. I see someone from here is bidding on an item (sorry I did not catch that sooner) perhaps they can let us know should they win the item.

Looking at some of those items, I am pretty sure most of them are legitimately unopened. A few of them though seem to me that they may have been rewrapped in particular the B2 and especially the B3, DL1 and the C1.  The shrinkwrap on those looks a lot like the shrinkwrap that was put on the early to mid 2nd edition items back in the early 90's.  It really reminds me of the shrinkwrap that is on the 2nd edition Lankhmar items because of the way the shrinkwrap bunches up on ton the right hand side there.

FWIW, the loose wrap looks similar to other images of original shrink I've seen on the modules, geos, and M&T assortments from that era.

Original TSR shrink 1975-1981 is so bad it's hard to replicate with today's machines. Be sure to check for the air hole.

30 1st edition modules.  Includes several monochrome modules, T1-4, Return to the TOEE, and some other semi-decent stuff.
