Sellers like this one really crack me up.  Why all the pissiness regarding the type of money order?  "Postal money orders are from the post office. Not the Bank, not from your check book,Not from 7-11."  It's not like the seller is outside of the U.S. and their bank will only accept an international money order.  Last time I checked just about any bank will accept a money order.  And if they are staying away from non-postal money orders because of counterfeiting, it has been proven that you can reproduce any type of money order or cashier's check if you have the resources.

Since I pay exclusively with money orders (Paypal sucks ass.    I have had over 300 Ebay transactions and only two problems ever.) I usually dont bid on items when sellers reduce my options to just postal money orders unless they are from Canada.  I dont know about the rest of the planet but post offices around here only stay open until 5 pm and getting there before they close can be pretty damn difficult...not to mention the lines of people at post offices on a daily basis is pretty ridiculous.

Where'd he come up with that one?! Jim Ward would not be pleased. I messaged the seller.

nice lot of items, some potentially interesting items in there. however, tho he accepts paypal, he clearly hasnt set up the option on the auction and check out the shipping charge too...could be a little pricey:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... egory=2545

greyhawk: city of skulls mod with no bids on yet:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=44112

the above seller has a fair batch of other stuff listed too, so could be an opportunity to grab a few items and save on shipping (UK auction)

oh dear :D D&D 30th anniversary promotional cup! *snigger*

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... egory=2545

huge lot of mods - very tempting! 0FB seller though, but DOES include H1 and GDQ1-7:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... egory=2545

one of them white box set thingies - with addl supps - books look in great condition but box is a little beat up:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... gory=44112

Are we nearly there yet?

Dungeon!  9 days, 13 hrs.  I take it this is the first edition of the game?

http://cgi.ebay.com/DUNGEON-game-origin ... dZViewItem

Escape from New York still in shrinkwrap.  A little high on the starting price though.  6 days, 11 hrs.

That's funny, I was looking for some informations about Dungeon! a few hours ago.

The french site Tric-Trac makes reference to three boxes, two from 1975.

Look at http://www.trictrac.net/index.php3?id=j ... ix=dungeon

I have just bought an unpunched one (1980) and I was wondering if is it valuable / playable or not.

The top picture of Dungeon is the Australian version, the bottom is the North American version.  The middle one is the later print, I think there are a couple more versions as well.

This is actually the 2nd print. The 1st print has the box art turned 90 degrees, like other early TSR games(Lankhmar, William the Conquerer, etc..).

Look closely at that auction photo.  It appears this cup only just missed being totally crushed by a screeching automobile tire!

Is this a crime scene photo?

bonk!

The rotated box you're thinking of has completely different artwork (similar to that "Australian version" on the Tric-Tac page).  It may have been the first print, though there's also a Lizard-logo box out there.  The Jedko Australian version I know has a very different cover than the one shown on that site.

There seems to be literally a dozen different versions of Dungeon!.  Quite a quest for the collector.

...and now that I actually dug out my research materials....

The first print of Dungeon! does not have a TSR stock number.  I have no idea what it looks like... perhaps polybagged?  The second print had stock number F-103; it's that rotated-box (first image).  The third print was the Lizard logo, stock number 1002.  The fourth print was the Wizard logo.
