Actual campaign event in Lake Geneva. The party was out on horses, found some critter tracks, stopped and went into caves to find treasure -- and didn't leave guards. (?) Passing bugbears looted some of the horses before the mounts ran away, and among the items taken was the lead mage's spell book. SO a fast and desperate chase ensued, and everything clicked; I was making up stuff on the fly and the players were having a blast. It deserved to be immortalized, so I wrote it up. :)

Well, I'd certainly be bidding on it if I were in the big dog collector category...but I am a little dog.   :x

It is hard to guess what those sell for from one auction to the next. Sometimes they go cheap and then sometimes they spike. I recently picked up the entire second set for that price or close to it if I recall correctly.

Yes indeed, the whole adventure. It IS lacking the original voting sheets 'cause those were used up in the process. The reason it has the original (used) character sheets & such is this: we insisted, in those early tourneys, on collecting everything from the players. It was going to be published and we wanted to limit the exposure.

(Y'know, if we could add or edit in Classifieds, this discussion would be over there instead of dribbling all over this News board... hint hint?)

only problem with this auction is that the guy has a reserve on it.

in the UK, a reserve on an auction is at least £50 (roughly $85-90), so that one aint going anywhere cheap.
