The Imagine binders are the same. In fact the blue Imagine binder and the blue White Dwarf binder are almost identical. As these were UK only, I imagine they were made by the same company.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

THis set is up again:

http://cgi.ebay.com/2-Original-White-Bo ... dZViewItem

$500.00 opening bid again though.  :? As noted the last time this auction was up that is a very nice looking 5th print set and a pretty decent OCE set as well as all supplemtns including both a Lizard logo Chainmail and a GK Chainmal.  Starting bid is high but may be worth tossing a minimum bid in there.

<edit> There is also a nice looking "War of the Ring" in there too.

That price is sheer insanity.  This is the kind of item that may fluctuate given certain bidders being interested at certain times. The next copy may go for under $100, or $200.  They actually seem to pop up fairly frequently....

Hey Mike,

the insanity is not going to end until I get what I'm looking for.
If you have a good condition 1st ed Boot Hill, you should sell it to me
for $150, then pick one up for yourself when they're going for
$60.  You'll make a killing.  Should be able to pick yourself up a nice
set of DragonLance modules with the difference.

Just doing the math quickly, but 5th Print Set by itsellf in that condition would go for say $150. The OCE set ~$80, each supplement other than the GK Chain Mail would go for about $20 each for a total of $140.  GK Chainmail ~$60. War of the Ring IIRC goes usually for at least $50. 8 Hardcovers at $3 each for a total of $24. Best of Dragons $2 each for a total of $14 and the Outdoor Survival set $5.  The 2 RQ sets, I know nothing about so I will not include them, but when you look at the total of the items I did include you get a total of $523 w/o the 2 RQ sets. As a 1 shot bid it might be worth it.  Granted the shipping is pretty absurd, but I suppose that you could talk him down from that, but even still IMHO paying $540 for everything would not too over the top. :)

Sorry, I must have missed something somewhere. I just thought maybe it was an Alpha/Omega 3rd print +-%?! or something.

No thanks to the OCE, but if anyone has a 5th print in that condition at that price, please give me a holler! :P

*nods*. "At least"...

Seller (again) does themselves no favors by not splitting up the lot and letting everything find its level. Am surprised no-one "did a deal" with them after it failed to sell last time.

Reading the description he/she also mentions a Dragon Magazine Archive I believe.  Either that or he is selling a copy of that. :?

Isn't that against the unwritten rules of the forum--> No drinking and posting.   Oh yeah, and definitely no drinking and bidding or you will end up with all kinds of crazy sh*t that you don't really want.

Well, if you are going to be driving drunk, you will at least know which direction that you are going.

Yep, 5ths have been exploding in value, with no signs of letting up.  $150 for that condition would be a bargain.  It seems they are trying to stay about 120-150% higher than OCEs.  5ths in the UK do better than in the US, for some reason I can't explain.  :?
