That's just a signature printed with the book.  It wasn't physically signed.

Well, at least it's the 1st printing and not the reissue "Alpha Dawn". Looks a bit scruffy tho.

Star Frontiers is definitely collectible. It's a cool game too. Don't really know how rare it is though. They come up fairly regularly. Seems like the boxes are always scruffy too.

Speaking of other TSR box sets, and since Boot Hill has been discussed hereabouts recently...

Sealed Boot Hill:

Top Secret and Boot Hill, both with pretty decent looking boxes (and the TS has the old % dice even!!):

Monster Manual, 2nd Printing (description amended; seller seemed not to know that the Gygax 'signature' was preprinted)

What was the deal? People think it is a photocopy because it doesn't have the color cover?

Didn't meet the reserve the first time around so it was relisted without a reserve.  Who knows, maybe it will work out and the seller will make more money the second time around.  I'm surprised they didn't offer it to Frank first.

Oh, if it had the color cover it would have gone for a lot more money!

I've noticed a few sellers who seem to have honestly believed that the signature was unique or special.  :P

No. They don't think it's worth the reserve price.

This week I've been mostly eating . . . The white ones with the little red flecks in them.

Reserve is a put off and it is only being sold in the U.S.  What't the reserve on this anyway?

I was in for $74 but that wasn't enough the first time.
And I'm not in this one; have a con to go to.

Serve him right if it stops where it is. And it would be nice if you cut Bombadil a break, make two points with one pass. ;>

This seller has 13 feedbacks with no negatives....but he also commits one of the Seven Deadly Seller Sins and does not list shipping cost.

The Seven Deadly Seller Sins

1)  No PayPal ("The first and foremost of all sins that yea verily stinketh")
2)  No shipping cost given  ("Thou shalt post shipping")
3)  No combined shipping  ("Verily shall I smite thee!)
4)  No overseas sales  ("Thou shalt sell to the Olden Empire and the Old World!")
5)  Little or no item description ("Yea, and such is free as well!")
6)  Improperly worded title/wrong category ("Lo, and how shall they find thee?")
7)  No picture ("Thou shalt tempt the eyes if at all cost effective!")

Mark

That is a really good list. That is usually a warning sign of possible problems. I am more likely to let slide a 13 FB that did not list shipping. One should also look to see if they are seller or buyer FB. They may not even think to do this. Now get into the 30 FB area as a seller and I start to get worried.
