It wouldn't be that difficult, if the buyer hasn't seen one before.  (That'd be most buyers, I suppose...why would you want two?) It wouldn't fool anyone that has, mind you.  I grow increasingly suspicious, especially with that horrible pic.

If it's white, and not the original yellowish, then he certainly is.

And the picture is certainly white.

Wasn't his 'pedigree' confirmed ages ago as having stashed a box away that's being sold off periodically?

If it's not him who was it? :?

Copy I received from him a while ago is the 'yellowish' colour and definitely looks authentic.

I don't know the guy personally, but he has sold several of them, and IIRC he told me long ago that he had a few stashed away. He intended to pull a NK and sell one every once in a while.

I'm just saying he should take some of the profit and put it into a digital camera and/or scanner.  That picture looks as shady as it gets, and if he's legit he doesn't need that hassle.  It doesn't take more than 5 minutes to get a half-decent scan of that item, there's no real excuse.

I spoke to him back in Dec 05 when he sold one (to wade168) and he told me that he had 'a few' left and was going to sell on every 6 months or so.  Of course, although somewhat reassuring, that doesn't actually prove anything.  :)

If he has a case of 100 left then this extremely rare item is no longer that.  For now Im am staying away from this item.

He only has 2 or 3 left. It's still plenty rare.

Your right it would be, do you think that's all he has left?

At $267 (2 bids only!), $75-100 high already, IMO. What on earth was the minimum bid on that? :)

Saving grace is the box color (i.e. white); uncommon even for a 7th. Trimmed scans don't help and at least two supps. with label residue.

Still looks very sweet, though...

(Corey's set finished where it opened, at $99 - looked almost as good, and was a 6th, I think; even allowing for dodgy photo!

Add to that the one Allan picked up at ~$84 which only required re-SWing plus bagging & boarding of the books/ref sheets to make an excellent presentation/trophy item).

Yeah,

One from Kaskoid wishing the buyer joy in adding this to his collection ... way back in mid-April 06 ....

or he could just slap on a huge surcharge for the unsuspecting buyer
