The white box such as in this auction:

is the earlier version.  The Black box has a TSR wizard logo I believe.

Must be the weather - heatwave here (phew!) so people are stuck indoors faffing around on ebay and decide to sell their old gamestuff.

It's not a BIN. No pictures... The other thing is the seller has a rating of just 13...

Call me daring, but I just set up a snipe for it, so we'll see.

IN other words...he'll combine shipping for an extra charge.  It's just a different way of saying "pay for the first one and add $1 for each additional item."

Wow, if you buy more than 10 items at once, you can't lose, right?

Actual combined shipping would read:  "I'll put multiple items into the envelope for no charge, since it actually costs me nothing and you are unlikely to purchase more than three or four anyway."

Four items would handily fit into a prioity mail envelope for..what...$3.99?  And, the heavy envelope is free.  Is the extra dollar a charge for the drudgery of putting more than one thing in the envelope...God, what a difficult task!  I hate the hassle of putting more than one thing at a time in an envelope!

Wouldn't all of the items he has listed fit into a single priority mail box for, like, $8.99?  And, the box is free.

What he actually means is this:  "I plan to make a profit off of shipping.  If you buy more than one item that cuts into my profit.  Therefore, I feel justified in charging you the minimum profit I would have earned.  I am willing to piss you off, betting that $1 will not piss you off enough not to buy...or possibly that you will fail to notice that I am not actually combining shipping."

At least Tonya and Titan don't insult my intelligence.  They say what they are doing, straight up...and accept that I might not buy from them because of it.

I took the poorly worded shipping entry to mean he'd ship 10 items (likely in a priority mail box, as you stated) for $10, rather than $5 apiece.

Which isn't that much of a markup, if it should cost $8.99.  $1.01 for the guys "time" certainly isn't unheard of.
