Emphasis mine.  The rest of his post is irrelevant, and incorrect.  This is quite illegal with any copyrighted material.

[edit]Whoops.  I made it sound like intelligator was the bad guy there, not the guy he was quoting.  You get the point.

Yeah, this guy is a piece of work.  Like he actually created the stuff!  More than that though, his tone is defensive which means to me that he knows he's doing something at least questionable; I guess he doesn't want to face up to the fact that it's out and out illegal.

re: support - just let me what is needed, I'll be happy to chime in.

Someone could do a study on how these guys are all cut from the same template. They know, depending on what exactly their scheme is, that they are doing anywhere from one to 100 illegal things, but they try to talk themselves into how their specific scheme is legal.

The only amusing part is watching them twist themselves into pretzels if they decide to debate anyone on the facts (our very own Gantlers853 is a gold medalist at this). Other than that, they should all be lined up against a wall ...

That's it - they're all dead!!  Now I'm enraged.  I'm going to report and report and report.  This dirtbag has admitted that it's illegal and keeps doing it anyway.  This is the dirtneck I'm talking about (although I'm sure you've all seen him before):

TSR Dungeons Dragons Modules MONSTROUS ARCANA SET | eBay

Arrrrrghhhh!!

What were those links for WOTC to report to?  Lemme know; I'm serious.

Thanks!

I've reported each and every one of this sellers auctions to eBay (except the Eberron one, cuz I don't care), to no result.

Well, dont feel too bad, I did too.  Many times as a matter of fact.  Ebay must have copyright infringers on the "not-to-do" list again.

I'm not a laywer by any stretch of the imagination but wondering... If ebay is notified and does nothing isn't that illegal? Could something be sent elsewhere too?

If the copyright holder, or their representative, notifies Ebay and they do nothing, they'd be liable for contributory copyright infringement.  Notifications from "concerned citizens" mean very little because we can't state unequivically that the seller is violating a copyright.

So, out of curiosity . . . has eBay ever removed listings that someone has reported?  I know bclarkie mentioned that he had reported dozens in one day.

Were any removed?  Is is useless to even contact ebay?

I have seen several listings of illegal items which were closed (and even made non-accessible) after some reports.

OK guys, what I really could use is several people reporting this guy:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 8771363566

as soon as possible. I already won several auctions, but what I'd like is for eBay to yank the ones that are up that I've bid on. I have a plan.......

This guy too. I think if enough people report him, they'll yank it.
Does anyone remember the contact info for the WotC rep who we used to report this stuff to?

Actually, I already reported him as well . . . that's what prompted me to inquire if ebay ever actually removes listings . . .

Awesome. The more people that report these guys, the more ammo I will have when it comes to blows with eBay. And I'm sure it will.
