My head's up was that I hoped he lived in some hard to reach country because WOTC and Ebay (well.. probably not ebay) were going to hunt him down and castrate him for doing this.

I also told him to fire whatever lawyer implied he could sell OGL stuff like SOURCE books.

OK. I've contacted Andrew at Wizards of the Coast and he can look into it if he likes. I doubt he'll find it as amusing as the seller does, though.

He's wrong.
#1. Open Gaming License allows you to copy for your own use, not to sell to others.
#2. It would be pointless for WOTC to offer the books as a PDF when they are trying to SELL them in the stores.
And most importantly-
#3. When has WOTC ever given away ANYTHING?
