oh man that just isnt on is it? we all have things like that lying around, but selling them on isnt really on.....good ol ebay again.....

i tried to buy a DVD last week off ebay....but i cant tell anymore, which ones are the originals and which are not....

I have already repoted that guy twice now, but nothing done about him yet. He seems to be getting greedier and putting more and more up on a daily basis.

Here is another one, maybe the best one yet. THis seller is offering to sell the pdf's from the Dragon Magazine Archives by email, so not only is violating the copyright of it he is also in additional violation of Ebay's policy of not allowing you to sent your itmes by email.

Contacted the seller and explained. Seller responded back that she wasn't aware that she couldn't sell them in that manner and has removed the auction.

I reported him but given that this is the fourth or so auction of that guy in the last few weeks my hopes are not too high that WotC will react at all.

I reported this guy 2 or 3 times myself last week and Ebay has done nothing at all. I have basically just given up. Maybe somebody needs to come along and vigilante his a$$ with some negs. He is perfectly set up with his BIN.....

I've reported probably thirty or forty over the past six months. EBay always sent back their token BS response saying for confidentiality reasons they cannot say what's being done but they're looking into it, and they are all still trading.

EBay make money from these people, and unless the person holding the copyright complains (ie. someone who can sue their asses), they are happy to take their fees.

It's for WoTC as to file individual complaints against these sellers, and unless WoTC think that this black market is damaging their sales, they're not likely to do anything.

After all, IMO, the software black market underpins the dominance of the PC in the personal computer market.
