So, I guess the point I am driving at is this:  this guy's vague description essentially protects him, but if he (or someone else) came right out and stated the photocopied names of TSR/WOTC items they were including should they be reported?  In a case like this - definitely "No".  Judgement must be exercised to stop only those who are blatantly selling copyrighted materials or making them a substantial part of their auction.

All good points. Sometimes with tunnel vision we don't see the forest for the trees. I'm sure copyright infringement and such was farthest from this dude's mind...I didn't even check out his feedback and realize he was a newbay.  Ebay has plenty other true fools aboard selling PDF's with 100 modules on them than to waste time with this guy's couple of probably badly photocopied adventure notes.

The Huckster reported it. I sent the seller an e-mail informing him that it was illegal to sell PDF's as well.

Theyre recordings.  They were never sold on DVD and only a handful of episodes ever made it to VHS.

I think the cartoons copyright's expired and are sort of in limbo at the moment much like "abandonware" software.

All reported to [email protected]

But feel free to do it yourself.

Not sure if he can do anything about the cartoons.  But passed that on as well.

They're bootlegs, copied from TV or videos.
Looks like darnsweet sold a crapload of his stuff.

If you want to see the Cartoon, I think Rhino is putting them out on DVD in the Fall (my fiance just got Jem, which they did a pretty good job on, and it was pretty cheap as far as cartoon series go).

Oh come on guys... I mean, I have fond memories of the D&D cartoon that I watched over my bowl of rice crispies back in the early days...

But come on... Are you REALLY  going to sit down and WATCH all those episodes again?  I've seen a few since having 'grown up' and I can't see much that's D&D in them OR very interesting.

Johnny Quest has a lot better staying power as do the 'newer' WB Batman/Superman/Justice League cartoons.

The D&D cartoon, while a fond memory, is a bunch of crapola and will remain merely a memory.

Am I missing some inner meaning here?

Anyone ever watch Reboot? Now THAT was a funny/interesting storyline that held appeal to kids as well as adults.

Okay, sorry, this is OT....

-Jon

Well, the kid is badly addicted to Thundarr, and I have run thru The Tick and The Mighty Heroes. I still can't seem to lower myself to watch the D&D cartoons.
