Still haven't heard back from the PDFer. Sent him this yesterday:

Well, I spoke to the FBI agent here in Boston, and after I gave him all of the relevant names, addresses and information, he said it is definitely copyright infringement. According to him, anything over $10,000 is directly investigated by the FBI and the local state authorities. So if I do indeed pay for them, I commit a felony. Any suggestions?

I imagine he might be squirming right about now.

Beans for breakfast....'nuff said.  :P

Yeh, enough beans with every other meal you don't need them in Chili.  The passion towards this in Texas gets frightening.  If you cooked bean style chili at say the Francis X. Tolbert chili cookoff (named for the famous author of "A Bowl of Red" which discusses chili in depth) you might find yourself being strung up to a local mesquite tree....
I will admit to making three bean chili on occasion, but only with the curtains drawn and wearing a disguise.....

I guess I shouldn't believe everything I read then?  I thought a traditional English breakfast included baked beans.  At least it does here:

Not that I think it is that strange mind you....if I could I would probably eat barbecue for breakfast every day.  I am a Texan after all.

Chili without beans?

English people without beans?

Axaxaxe not in Nevada?

People in New Hampshire making fun of people in Ohio?

The FBI actually investigating something?

Next, someone is gonna try to convince me that Avalon Hill once published a black magic kit!

What I don't get is spending this kind of money for only a few books.  Seems like there are less expensive .pdfs that have a lot more items on them.

So, these are scofflaws and stupid consumers.

Exactly that. I won the auction, of course. The invoice:

Congrats,

Just lemme know your prefered method of payment and I will have these to your door asap.

paypal : [email protected]

or cashier's check/money order

The reply:

Thanks, but I actually won the auction in order to report it to the FBI. I've been working with them for the past year on copyright infringement cases involving Wizards of the Coast products.

A bit of lying, but two wrongs do indeed make a right in this case. Besides, I am Deputy Special Agent Frank Farris.
