I must admit to being curious. How many items do you have in your D&D collection.

I'll start with my total, which is currently at 408 (and still rising)

i'm sitting at 673 items right now. although i'll probably be posting in the classifieds soon, time to get rid of some duplicates and clear some shelf space for more

other than duplicates i want to clear out any non-TSR stuff i have, get a little more focus to the collection.

TSR/Wizards stuff about 1100 items (not including miniatures anyway)

Current 3.0/3.5 about 400 items

I have a little over 500 1st/2nd edition items. I just picked up my 13th 3rd edition item last week, "Red Hand of Doom". It is actually a really cool adventure. I did think the half hobgoblin/half blue dragon priest of Tiamat was a bit odd though. :roll:

At guess 1-2 K not counting magazines ( probably 800 of those ). Now throw in figures and then I'll have more around Deadlord

( but I still have one more Clemmy than ya atm I think

Currently, probably around 2000 items, after I finally get around to the fire sale, hopefully around 1200.

I was thinking of posting something along the lines of this thread myself. My collection currently is just shy of 500 books, modules and boxed sets which would take up probably a bit less than 20' of shelf space, if they were shelved.

Unfortunately my collection has vastly outgrown the existing shelf space in my office and is currently sitting in various low piles on, under and around my desks. Of course this is a far from optimal storage/display arrangement and I'm been sketching out various new shelving arrangements to accomodate my current (and future) collection.

I'm wondering how other people store / display their collections? How much space does it take up? How do you keep track of where each item is?

i have about 5000 frp items (books ,modules) with about another 1800 magazines. those are the singles. i probably have about 2000 doubles of things but that`s more uncertain. it`s all currently housed in 240+ legal boxes hidden all over the house (behind bookshelves etc.) once upon a time they were all in order in the boxes, but not currently unfortunately. my wife & i are hoping to buy a bigger place soon so we can have a room for all the gaming stuff a la invincible (but we have no cool hordes of mini`s).

Strat, you might just have the best collection at the present moment. You should consider dedicating a room to it. Or a house.

Don't laugh, when we bought our current house( colonial ) my wife wanted me to have my own "area" instead of the basement like our first house, the clincher for this house was the third floor so I could have my "office ( more like extension of D&D room

)" side and the "D&D" side that I finished off with a "Medieval Tavern". Actually came up with pretty inventive ways to store my collection but keeping the theme intact. Only problem is I don't really get to display my gems aside from my woodgrains and 4th/5th prints in the office side.

I'll post some pics sometime of it, I just need to button up some loose ends so it's complete and fully appreciated........pretty bad seeing we have been here now almost 8 years. gotta prioritize,gotta prioritize :oops:

My collection has been in storage for so long it has become like "The Road Warrior" to me:

With the Judges Guild stuff currently looming over my office thrown in I would estimate 300 or so items.

The size of my collection has exploded recently to the point that I now have over 2,000 1st/2nd Ed. TSR/WOTC items (not including magazines/minis, etc.) Friends have suggested that I start building furniture out of all the storage boxes that have accumulated throughout my house.

There are still 162 items that I am missing and that is not including different printings. Oh well, many fun years of collecting ahead of me 

I figure what this thread really needs is some pictures. It's not enough for me to buy up and collect all this stuff and stick it in a box somewhere. When we bought our house I wanted one room to display all of my stuff. Took a while to get it the way I wanted it and I am practically out of room for additional things but I guess I will manage.

Not quite Invincible Overlord's lair but I just started a few years ago and I collect so much more stuff than just D&D. I didnt even post the pic of my comic collection (the pic was too big

). Oh yeah...the last pic...I collect cats as well.
