I'm adding the R-series and RPGA modules to the rares list.

Please post your accounting here, or PM me if you want the info to remain anonymous.  Some of you sent me that info previously, but please send it again if you don't mind.

To start things off, and in the spirit of transparency (at least in this case), I've got R1-4, RPGA 1 & 2.

Many thanks,
Stephen

Doh, that will teach me to post while watching TV.  Still have an R3 though.  And I'm *hoping* to close a deal on buying a big set locally that has "Forgotten King" (Is that RPGA3?) I fear for the condition though, this is from a player who is known for showing some heavy "love" to his goods.  =)

Do you mean RPGA 5-8? I didn't think RPGA 1-4 came in the Polyhedron Magazine. :)

Oh yeah...

Pretty sure I still have 3 of each, 1 @ R1/2/3 in shrink. (We never shrinkwrapped #4.) I'll check next week when I visit my collection.

RPGAs, hm; 1-4 I think, again prolly shrink'd. I'll check.

I also recall at least 2 Character Archaics.

Not to diverge from the topic but is either a 2nd print?  Just looking for some confirmation on what is included with it.

Gee, I thought I was pretty bad on 4th print OD&D sets... :o
That's quite some hoard you have there!

Just as well I didn't keep tabs on all those low-mid $100 auctions I lost out on, just in case your revised Acaeum handle looked familiar in that context! .... *shakes fist, if so* ;) :D :P

I've got both sets.  Bought through the UK RPGA at the time.

major_axe has two sets IIRC.

Hmmmm, starting to sound like they're not that rare. :?

*g*. Who said they were, John?
Never "5"s, anyhow. "Just" good solid "4"s.

IMO, there always had to be a "fall back" option for people who don't want to get into serious fights over the tourneys and suchlike.
Two almost readily-available series (with good material, by-and-large) seem to fill that "gap" admirably; and in that context are even more desirable, perhaps.

=

[ed.] just combined with the other copies I know went to other people on eBay, that's no less than 25-30 R1s for a start.
