unfortunately there is no easy way around it is there, as ebays feedback system sucks eggs.

i always leave feedback first me, but thats me. i have been left an unwarranted neg before, but you will always rish incidents like that.

i'm just that kinda person. you will always end up dealing with lamers at some point who just havent got a clue - thats ebay for you really.

I've got 1 neg as a seller. Stupidest of things on my part really. I thought I'd sent the item out to the guy and I knew I was moving house and I'd have no internet for a couple of months so I didn't realise until too late that it was under a pile of junk when I got round to unpacking! Since I only use that particular email account for Ebay (too much spam to use a personal account!) I never bothered checking my emails to notice the buyer complaining! I was gutted when I noticed when I finally got my internet up and running and started using Ebay again! Naturally I gave the guy his money back but I felt pretty stupid afterwards!

Pathetic....absolutely pathetic.  I'd rather pay Creep $50 for a SW X1 than deal with the asshat that did that.

Reminds me of a roommate I had at college.  He started buying a lot of rare baseball cards with his credit card and charged it up several thousand dollars.  When he decided he didnt want to pay the bill, he staged a break-in and called campus police to report it.  Funny thing is, no one knew he had the cards besides me, they were hidden in a false bottom of a wooden box, and nothing else was stolen.  The police never found any finger prints or any evidence that the lock was picked or that the door was forced.  Pretty obvious what went down.  He called his credit card company and reported the theft.  He didnt have to pay a thing.  Rotten bastard.

Well, I just received the Thieves Guild module and it is incomplete. If the seller doesn't have the missing pages and/or won't take it back, and refund ALL of my money, he gets a neg. And I will certainly buy up every auction he posts in the future. I am just about done with moronic sellers who can't even check contents.

If I get a negative out of it, big deal. I mostly buy, and I prefer to sell off eBay when I sell at all. If it gets too bad, I'll create another account.

What pages are missing, since TG had the habit of skipping around pages throughout its books (since the loose leafs go in a binder) and even later included stickers to correct page numbers.

Good luck, Frank! Have you pointed the seller over to this thread for PR purposes (if they have other RPG stuff)?

Not yet, I'm waiting to see what she wants to do. She sent an e-mail back asking what was missing.

I'm just highly aggravated at these sellers who don't even check their shit. I expect either the remaining pages, which I am sure she doesn't have, or a full refund including shipping.

I've already decided that if it doesn't get sorted to my satisfaction, I'll use my account to go on a crusade against the seller, then create a new one. I'm getting bored with this one anyways.

This is all on top of the $6 shipping charge for fukin media mail. I like to think I am fairly reasonable, but I just can't take the idiot sellers anymore. Is it too much to ask that someone check an item to see if it is complete? I was so happy at first, I really wanted this mod, but there are days lately that make me want to chuck the whole lot and collect matchbooks.

so what is this media mail thing? being in the UK i have no idea at all what it is. a slower cheaper form of post?

and yes, i ahve had many instances of incomplete items, some more alarming than others. if its important now, i try and ask, time permitting.

but just remember if you chuck the whole lot, chuck them in this direction :D

one of my main-beefs with sellers on ebay is when they say "they think it is complete" or "i am not sure if it is complete"...  8O

why cant they just feckin check??!! surely its not THAT hard is it? is it?

The great thing about buying large lots (or even heavy books) between U.S. sellers is Media Mail.  It kicks ass.  The rates for books (and other media such as DVDs, CDs, software, Videos, etc) is:

Media Mail Rates

Weight

not over

(pounds)

       Rate

1         $1.42

2         1.84

3         2.26

4         2.68

5         3.10

6         3.52

7         3.94

8         4.24

9         4.54

10         4.84

11         5.14

67         21.94

68         22.24

69         22.54

70         22.84

That's right - 70 lbs of books cost just $22.84 to ship!  It takes a little longer (somewhere between 4-12 business days), but it is still very reliable.  As someone who has bought and sold many large lots, I can honestly say that everything has arrived safely.

Our postal system is much like out tax system - a miasma of confusion and obscurity. I like to think that I have successfully navigated it's waters by this point. There are so many options - Priority, Flat rate boxes, flat rate envelopes, Express, Global Express, Global Priority (Variable and flat rate - small and large envelope), Parcel, Media Mail, International Air Parcel & Economy Parcel (can be insured - long customs form), International Letter Post & Economy letter Post (can't be insured, let than 4 lbs, less than 36" H/D/W short customs form), delivery confirmation, signature confirmation, insurance, certified, registered, return receipt, M-Bag (Air & Economy).

If you do your homework, you can find obscure ones that hardly anyone knows about - like Bound Printed Matter. This is, essentially, Media mail with a variable rate based on zip code. No one even knows about it, but Media is so cheap that it really doen't pay to even investigate it's rate chart.

Hence why I startred this thread. How about "Mr. I will combine shipping charges ( shaved $.85 off) ..and then charge $12.00 for media mail" on the two below   . I might be wrong it might weigh 30+ pounds  :? . And you just know they have not left feedback yet  :x . I got a 682 feedback I would hate to lose. I think I need to create a new ID as well and use one for buying and one for selling.

The gamelords stuff is numbered in terms of chapters to where all of the various products are to be put together in a binder. The table of contents in that item is useless to the seller and very confusing to even someone who has a bunch of them (me  ). Needless to say, Gamelords gets an F for organization as it was a disaster.
