I've been meaning to ask the Acaeum community about this for a few weeks now, but it took the new WOTC update of White Plume Mountain (see separate thread) to get me actually typing.

Anyway, I love White Plume Mountain. I need White Plume Mountain. I have actually had explicit dreams about WPM where I took out my [censored!] and then [censored!] the kelpies with the [censored!] while the flesh golems watched.

To the point: I want to make sure I own every single relevant WPM product that's ever been printed. I've made up the following list, and I'd like to get some input from the Acaeum community ... my guess is that I'm missing something.

The easy stuff

*Module S2 — mono (various prints)

*Module S2 — color (various prints)

*Module S2 — TSR Silver Anniversary edition

*Return to White Plume Mountain (TSR Silver Anniversary)

*WPM 3.5 conversion — WOTC download

The somewhat obscure stuff

*"White Plume Mountain" novel — by Paul Kidd

*Dungeon Magazine #77 — "The Wrath of Keraptis" featured adventure

*There's at least one issue of Dragon where the words "White Plume Mountain" appear on the cover. I think it's in the 270's.

And that's all I can think of right now. Basically, I'm looking for anything where WPM is more than just a passing reference (a good example would be something in Dragon; I have many gaping holes in my TSR magazines collection). If it's got solid WPM material, though, we wants it for our collectionsssss ...

Any input is appreciated; thanks in advance.

I haven't looked at WPM in a while...but one thing I always remember is that cool Otus map with Dragotha on it.

Dragotha's Lair, 2e RPGA Adventurer's Guild adventure:

Looks like Dragon #134 (June 1988) has "Dragotha, the undead dragon from S2 White Plume Mountain"

WPM was definitely influential from the beginning. When I was first learning to play I heard about "Blackrazor swords" before I heard of WPM or even really knew what "modules" were. Only, there were many Blackrazors and they were all +10 swords (according to a friend).

Thanks, guys! Great stuff so far. :D

I also just did an "off-site" deal with a member here for a nice copy of the Dragon Archive; this should help with finding WPM mentions in that particular magazine.

I seem to recall something recent (1-2 months ago) in Dragon or Dungeon about WPM also.....Just can't seem to locate it right now.

I'll see if I can find it tomorrow.

So you are saying you get a White Plume Mountain over WPM?

Do you have all the various prints? I think I have a UK print here somewhere.

Well, let me clarify. It has the UK office listed on the bottom instead of the US one. I have a huge stack of different modules with the same printing. Close to a whole run.

Ah, no fairy logo then? Still sounds interesting. Could you post a scan or two? Which other modules are in the run?

Alas, I don't seem to have WPM. I was a bit off too, it was the Dragonlance run I was thinking of that was close to complete. Still, there are probably 50 or so modules.

Each one has this listed on it beside or near the Lake Geneva address:

TSR UK Ltd.

The Mill, Rathmore Road

Cambridge CB14AD

United Kingdom

It is part of the printing, not a sticker or anything like that.

Does this just mean they were printed in the USA and distributed by the UK office?

During that period all items were printed in teh US and sent to UK for distribution. Could be the case for sure.

How's this for obscure?

One of the Spellfire expansions** has a card specifically titled "White Plume Mountain" (Otus art, too) and has individual cards for Wave, Whelm, and Blackrazor.

My quest for the complete WPM library continues ...

** I know what you're thinking ... and, NO, I didn't play this so-called "game."

Okay, it took me a couple of tries, but I finally got it. Good one, Frank.

For the record, I refuse to answer. I'm invoking my rights under the Fifth Amendment ...

Occasionally I can get two brain cells to fire in tandem and come up with a creative phrase.

For those of us who didn't get it at first...

White Plume Mountain =

Stiffy

Boner

Hardon

Jolly Roger

Pitching a Pup Tent

Calling Rumpleforeskin

(Gratuitous, I know....But then, I'm pretty juvenile, sometimes.)
