Paul,
The upcoming auctions sound very exciting.  What's the provenance on this item:

I've always thought there should be one of these, as Q1 doesn't match the rest of the set nicely...Paul, please elaborate!

Just got my stuff, too. And, let me tell you, that is QUITE the B2 that I won. Other than being complete, it is one of the most-thrashed modules I've ever seen. :D

Yeah, it's a typo! Yeah, yeah, that's it. A typo...

Nothing like a bad typo for good advertising, I always say.

Actually I meant, D3 monocolor. The picture of Lolth on the cover triggered Q1 in my brain. Sorry. Fixed it.

I bought it in an eBay auction 6 years ago from a fellow in the Southeastern US. He had no picture and made an egregious error in his listing. The auction ended early so he could correct these errors. I offered a buyout price, sight unseen, and he took it. When it arrived I was sorely disappointed as the set was a mess and was missing the label! "What a piece of junk!", I thought. So I tossed it into my spare parts box. There it sat for 6 years.

Recent research on the founding members of the Castle and Crusade Society revealed one member was William Linden. I remembered the name, dug out the pre-pub box and sure enough, W. Linden was scrawled on the booklets. Coincidence? I don't know but the very few people who got a pre-pub set had to be small and confined to Gygax's immediate associates. Certainly, William Linden was one.

And by the way, my items arrived today; excellent as usual.

Enjoy!

Hey, I'm an Aluminum Powerseller, I assure you the module was in only NEAR THRASHED condition when i mailed it! I cannot be held responsible for the Post Office Reducing it to MOST THRASHED. ["No longer a registered eBay user land", here I come!] :P
