That was hilarious.    I don't mean to scare you guys, but I'm off to by a lottery ticket.  If I win, that sucker is mine...unless a2jeff bids.

The change in how rapidly some auctions "take off" is also a relatively recent phenomenon, owing to certain bidders.

Makes for an interesting combination with the "must win" mindsets towards the auctions' end.

Probably the largest BIN discount since Marlith and Frank's heists.

Take a look at Tyson's and Lumberjacques' recent Tsojconth auctions.  You might have predicted the winning bid on Tyson's with fairly high accuracy, but Lumber's went through two irruptions, making it far more difficult - if not impossible - to predict the winning bid.  So the question is, will this one follow the "Tyson model" or the "Lumber model"?  I'm betting on the former.  I'm gonna run a forecast model on the data and come up with an estimate of the final bid (with confidence limits, of course).

Don't forget Lumberjacques' auction like the recent wee warriors auction was from a seller with a vested interest in the origins of the item.  in those cases I expect the price to be higher.

David, you are just as guilty as the rest of us on driving up prices.  Deal with it

Yes, actually.  First, it was to "mark" the auction because I hate keeping a separate watchlist, and secondly, it was because I want to ensure I kept the title for "cheapest Tsoj. purchase ever" -- $1.95. ;)
