Hi Guys,

I'm very excited... I just became a Father for the first time today.  8)  :D

My daughter (who wasn't due for a couple of weeks) decided she had had enough and was ready to enter the world.

7lbs 13oz
21 in.
We named her Raislyn Alexandra

I don't smoke, but cyber-cigars for everyone.

Congratulations!  Nothing quite like it - you must be over the moon.  My son turned eleven weeks old yesterday - we have two older kids as well - so the chatter of little voices is never far away.  Best wishes to the whole family!

(Brief aside - by the time she was four, my daughter could identify Tiamat on sight and name each head's breath weapon.  I have high hopes for the girl :D )

Well, that's awesome, man.  Congratulations!

Move your entire collection at least 4 feet above the floor.   :D

Yes, Congrats!

I'd move it to a locked room. Mine could climb onto the counter between the crawl and walk stages. Nearly gave me a heart attack every time  :!: Going on 36 and the grey keeps progressing and the hairline keeps regressing because of all three of mine
Oh well, I'll go for the Picard look, the wife likes it  :D

Congratulations.

I hope your last name is not actually Toor.  That would be some screwed up initials.

I was waiting for someone to catch that.
I always thought that would be a beautiful name for a girl, just changed up a couple of letters... everyone seems to like it.

That would be an awful start :?   her initials are actually RAR  :)

I have speculated before about the name Ekim Toor.  Now I know I am correct.

My gf measured our son's feet against her thumb (one foot was just longer than her thumb at birth) and she's been measuring them every week or so.  I remember when my daugher was born, her head fitted neatly into the palm of my hand, and her whole body stretched out reached down my forearm to my elbow.  So very wee.  We also took little casts of their feet (best done when the baby is sleeping, on account of all the wriggling, lol).  It's great to look back and see how small they were, because you don't notice them growing on a daily basis.

Enjoy it while you can.

My little guy was born on Nov. 22 (we named him Matt, if anyone is interested), and he was pretty hefty: 8 pounds, 7 ounces. Two months later, and he's nearly 15 pounds. 8O He's like this huge mutant-baby! I mean, he's still cute and all that, but holy guacamole!

Anyway, congratulations. Take lots of pictures of her in her tiny form ... just in case she's like my mutant.

Congratulations! Speaking as a mother of 4, do yourself a favor and give your wife flowers with a really sappy handwritten card.  My husband is not at all romantic, but he did that for me after each birth.  I really treasure those cards!!

Congrats.  It seems there are quite a few new dads on the forums...perhaps we should form a support group.  :)

Let's see ... off the top of my head: Deimos, Huckerby, me, and Ekim are the latest members of the No-Sleep Club. And doesn't Foul himself have an infant? And I'm probably leaving someone out ...

Congratulations to all of us! Now go get some sleep!  :)

Nation picks Colts to win SB.  The poll results are hilarious.  Kind of like the Regan vs. Mondale election in 1984.  Check it out:

This is ENTIRELY off topic...

But as I was approaching 2000 posts, I happened to check the memberlist to find out who this new "FormCritic" was, and I found I was able to arrange members by post counts...not that I'm too anal on this or anything...

Anyway to my surprise I"m in the TOP TEN Acaeum posters! Wow, what an ego trip!!!!

And BTW not likely to break into the upper echelon ANYTIME soon....but seemingly very secure in my Top Ten spot (at #9).

So of course, I thought all other post whores might want to check their "position in the community"...go to memberlist, arrange by "Posts" and "descending" order, to find out where you REALLY stand in the collector pecking order...very informative!!!!

And yes, it's been a VERY slow work day...
