I believe that was the grid layout used to map Castle Ravenloft.   :o

Actually, it isn't a game sit, aia.  The guy even notes that he has no idea why someone would want hex paper.  The Muppet!

another question for you, since i cannot see any explanation behind this:

** expired/removed eBay auction **

now, my question: why should i wait for one week (and save of course 2 USD!!!!) instead of using BIN?   :?

now i still miss to see a BIN lower than the starting price, and then i'm able to declare that i saw everything on ebay...  8O

Some sellers do that to say, "OK...if you want to bargain hunt then click here, but if you know it will go higher than that click here."

I think the benefit of an auction price and BIN so close together is that it gets listed in multiple searches.

................And so.............

Building on an idea that NetRodent posted on the RJK strand:

If you assembled all the runic copies of Cairn of the Skeleton King, and together they opened a portal to a janitor's closet at TSR......

Say you could control the year, but you could only use the portal for one visit and one return trip.......

  What...would...you....DO?

Go back to the day the building opened and take the 30 years of TSR book or whatever best laid out the events as they unfolded and leave it there with a letter explain the parts left out. They could then keep the company the way it started...create Magic The Gathering and perhaps buy Hasbro or whoever owns them now in the current timeline.....and buy stocks I know will skyrocket as well

nah you would go back and advise that X1 was the biggest bag of spanners this side of the galaxy and destroy everything in sight.

25 years later...... there are only about 72 copies remaining....

hey it could have happened!

can you imagine it... 85 bids, current bid $1872.01, highest bidder a2jeff

:D

I suppose I could post this to the GenCon thread, but I enjoy bumping this thread, too:

Anyway, GenCon SoCal is moving to downtown L.A., and all GenCon events are apparently trying to lure the video-game industry. Something to do with the demise of E3 ... not sure I understand it all.

Poorly executed press release here

Read the letter from Peter Atkinson at the end of the press release.  It is much more informative.

It's a mistake on their part.  All it will do is alienate longtime fans while doing nothing to gather any new ones.  I mean, there is crossover between the electronic and tabletop games, but I wonder if it's enough to support the kind of endeavor that are attempting. Then again, I'm just an old fogie who doesn't like the tabletop and electronic games of their life to mix in any way.

I don't like the mixing of styles either...but it's inevitable, and it might be a help.
